A Sure Thing

Surely it must be nice...

  • to have someone you think about whenever you are feeling joyful, sad or feeling plain dreamy-dream-dream
  • to unconsciously smile each time "That Someone" signs onto MSN, Yahoo!, Google Talk or Skype
  • to wish that someone "Good night, sweet dreams" and to have it wished it back to you - only it is always sweeter hearing those wishes uttered from that someone's lips
  • to sometimes receive unexpected sweet SMSes from that someone, saying "I miss you. What are you doing?"
  • to be able to paint smiles onto that someone's face, effortlessly
  • to have the weekend to look forward to - creating and weaving into each other's lives of life's most colorful fabrics of sweet unforgettable memories
  • to unwittingly scribble that someone's name on paper (or sometimes, imaginary - with finger on desk) in manner of trying to inject creativity into the lines and curves of The Name
  • to have that someone care for you throughout sunny skies and rainy days - knowing very well you would do the same,if not more for that person
  • to snugly cuddle up to that someone, watching DVDs that might be so crapped up (but crappy factor isn't really a factor as they discover later) because as time slowly progresses, it's the company that makes everything seems so right

Though, above all, without a doubt, it must surely be nice to  once again be able to  dwell in The Moment of hearing that someone utter those three unmistakenable magical words of  "I Love You"

...and given the opportunity to utter "I Love You Too", surely it must be BLISS.

Love Turned Sour

3 years of relationship turned bad.

Is there truth in the popular belief of "People tend to take each other for granted when they are faced with each other's presence everyday, do things together all the time, etc"? Will love and that special spark that brought two lovebirds together in the first place, eventually sizzles off?

This, is what is happening to my housemates. The guy related to me the whole scenario, bitching that the girl refused to compromise, only seeing things work her way, demanding him to give her more and dig this; shouted at him in public. Ladies, if you hadn't known by now, this is a big NO-NO. You NEVER EVER shout at your bfs or husbands or even children in public. I think it's a blardy disgrace. But then again, I have yet to listen to her side of her story. However, to a certain extent, I believe there is truth in the guy's words. I've heard things, words that were being thrown around and high-flying tempers that would put my mom to shame.

So back to the argument, will love sizzles off when a couple has been together for a long time? I think yes, IF one party doesn't feel as strongly for the other anymore. Hence, the cases of harmless flirtations, harmless flirtations that eventually lead to two-timing partners, adultery, etc. Like what happened last year. To me. But this entry isn't about me, myself and I. It's about all the people being in love right now. People, this need not happen. It will not happen, if you've chosen your partner wisely in the first place >> both of you working on the relationship, together >> and ultimately, have a happy ending.

He's gonna move out soon. Patience has its limits, he said. My advice to him was, since he still loves her so much, it's either he lives with it or deals with it. And dealing with it means, letting her go, letting himself free. I think there's a need to put a stop to the misery that they've been going through.

You love him/her dearly. But his/her awful habits are killing you slowly inside. What would you do if you are caught in a situation like this?

Wanna hear my take on this? I know I won't be caught in this kinda situation simply because in the first place, I wouldn't be with a person who constantly degrade me, humiliate me in public, demands endlessly and refuses to compromise. It's all about better be safe than sorry, ain't it? ;)

So yeah, what would you do in a situation like this?

And I don't know what to write now. Gotta kick-start the writing juice again.

Wednesday

Jangan Jealous

Dear Friends,

Trying to be as sensitive as possible, I regret to say that there is no easier way to word this. This is by far the most subtle way I could come up with:

I AM GOING TO BALI TOMORROW!

Will be back by Monday in full force, crazier than ever, and hopefully with a fabulously sexy tan ala J.Lo's.

BEACH! Here I come! Woohoooo.

Till then, take care.

Yours truly,
Beach Bummer
