my mom got back last night from her company trip to Langkawi. spoke to her on the phone and gawd she sounded like a little girl, all happy and chirpy. she bought:
me - a travelling bag me - hershey's chocolates (like i'm not fat enough) my dad - shirts i think herself - ANOTHER DOM! (david already bought 1 for her from bali airport recently) my brother - the best gift evarrr - BIG BOTTLE OF CHIVAS for only RM68! (somemore can tell me, "it's a 12 yr old bottle ok.")

Another company that I have used before that allows you to make money with your blog is bloggerwave. Bloggerwave lets you pick and choose among opportunities so that you know they fit the theme of your blog and them write a post about that company, product, or advertisement.
Since you get to pick and choose what sites or products you are going to post about you don't have to worry about whether your blog is going to be associated with something that you might not necessarily want to be associated with. If you are interested in making money blogging, go check out the site and see what you think.
Now here is a site that looks like a lot of fun. It's called Bid4Prizes.com and what you do is you basically bid on an item and the lowest unique bidder will win the prize. The money you are bidding is fake though for the fun of bidding a dollar amount, so you don't have to pay a penny of it. Free gifts include a Wii, Apple iphone, plasma TV's plus more!
You can also earn tokens to play games in the arcade and then you can trade in your points for rewards. Every token you play gives you a chance in the monthly Sweepstake for a Cash prize of $1,000,000, $10,000 or $100.
So why not try and join? You just might be the lucky bidder who can take home a brand new gadget or a vacation, absolutely free of charge. Join now!
i had the Most Exhaustive Dream Evarrr last night.
firstly, to clear things up, i do LOVE fairies, spells, magic, unicorns, witches, and just about anything magical. BUT for some reason, i could NEVER see vampires being in that list.
so last night, i was caught in a vampire-infested town (think Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil, except replace zombies with blood-thirsty vampires). me and a bunch of people were wielding swords against them vampires and trying to pierce them through their rotten hearts and all that running and dodging seriously traumatized me quite a bit. i hate being chased!!! i woke up with my heart thumping so fast, i nearly thought the person sleeping next to me was a vampire as well.
i blame it all on the movie, From Dusk Till Dawn which we watched in club med recently. in the movie, their protection against the vampires were crosses and sunlight so, guess what was my protection in that wretched dream?
JALUR GEMILANG. i kid you not. i was busy handing out stupid jalur gemilang badges to my fellow comrades to wear them on their shirts. and i, had the most powerful protection of all - i had a jalur gemilang flag wrapped around me just like superman's cape *wow wee, clap clap hands* so dumb!!! of all things, a Jalur Gemilang flag *roll eyes*
oh whatever, at least i got to slay some vampires and gawd, it felt so real with my wobbling sword piercing right thru them ugly buggers' hearts. niceeee
sue asked me whether they were western, chinese or indian vampires. i burst out laughing, coz at that split moment, i had envisioned an indian vampire with a pottu, lunging towards me mr tay said i am being too patriotic (yuck, never!). i blamed it all on the current Kempen BERSIH demonstration oops, 'gathering' as reported by the local media. go to youtube and look for Al-Jazeera's reports on this 'gathering' and you'll see how our local media has been downplaying the current uproar that has been going on.
weng's 30th birthday bash @ loft other pics are in friends' cameras at the moment
Christmas and year 2009 is coming soon! Undoubtedly, there are many people out there, including myself who have not gotten the gifts ready for our friends and loved ones. Buying gifts for your loved ones is not a simple affair that it may seem to be. You have to spend time listing down each person's likes and take time to look and buy them. If you factor in the time looking for bargains, it seems like a huge task.
For those of you who want to save time looking for gifts, you can try shopping online at QuickShop. QuickShop is a new comprehensive shopping comparison site in the UK that helps people to help them find better deals on anything and everything online and in time for the festive season. At QuickShop, the choices are abundant and I dare say, they are even more than any other site out there! A tip though: the more a shopper refines their search, the better results that they get.
i feel so confused. yesterday felt too much like a saturday and today... well, today should be a sunday right? wrong. today, i woke up with eyes bright opened screaming, "omg, it's 9am!!!" as suspected, that wretched alarm didn't go off. we scrambled up and got ready within 20 min. a record-breaking time for me. *pat pat self* :D
anyways, the supposedly 'Saturday' yesterday.

we finished 'securing the parameter' within 30min i think. so off we went to Mandarin Oriental for high-tea. but guess what? MO doesn't provide high-tea! rather weird isn't it, you'd not think a hotel like MO doesn't have high-teas, right? for high-tea, our favorite is still KL Hilton, fantastic spread of tummy delights plus free flow of wine :)
anyways, off we trotted over to Dome's, KLCC for cakes.
2 iced mochas for him and her
chocolate log cake brownie

were leaving to collect our framed up paintings but it rained! not wanting to risk ruining our precious paintings (searched with much wasted blood and sweat all over bali ok!), we skipped it and will collect them on Monday.
dinner was at hartamas with gary and aiwen. arsenal was playing against MU and even for someone who doesn't watch football like myself enjoyed the game thoroughly. for some reason, i've been supporting MU since form 3. dad even brought brother and me to sign up as club members at MUFC in PJ ok! haha
anyways, good game really! even the cat was enjoying it.
: today :
I LOVE LOVE LOVE STARDUST!!!
i read the book many many years ago and for the benefit of those who doesn't know about Stardust, this wonderful tale was written by my all time fav author, Neil Gaiman. and ahem, i kinda like the movie better than the book :P
Lamia, played by Michelle Pfeiffer was fantastic! gosh, she was made up soooooooooo ugly! but she did have her gorgeous moments in the film, you'll see. Captain Shakespeare played by Robert de Niro was hilarious! excellent choice although initially i had doubts about him playing the cross-dressing pirate. but he was fantastic! arrrrr! easily my favorite character in the movie ;)
Yvaine played by Claire Danes was perfect, i thought. she portrayed it really well. i've loved Claire Danes back in the days of Romeo and Juliet with Leo Dicaprio :) and Tristan, played by Charlie Cox was ADORABLE. loved his look after Capt Shakespeare did a makeover on him :) :) :). not gonna touch on the storyline because you have to watch it to find out for yourself!
overall, it was a movie i would love to watch again and again. some of you might not enjoy the movie simply because this is a film strictly for fantasy lovers - the magic potions, spells, witches, magic and all that jazz. i.e. me, who kept whining to mr tay all the time, that i wished i was born in world of harry potter, so, ya, Stardust is undoubtedly, one of my fav movies for this year :) LOVE LOVE LOVE!
and oh, the theme song! the credits were rolling up and this song came up and it was lovely! told myself to go home and hunt for it and here it is - Rule The World by Take That. lovely song.
*youtube works best with IE and for some reason, the videos don't appear in firefox? i dunno why.
