bali overdosed. want more still
touched down at 11pm last night. aladdin, our regular cabbie was on standby. i swear he gives top notch service. i mean, how often do you hop onto a cab that plays you jazz and michael buble all the way to KLIA? aladdin does that. and he brilliantly updates us on the latest news that was happening in KL. apparently, there's another little girl that went missing? hope it's not the replica of nurin's. so we've been using aladdin for most of our trips and plan to keep doing so for our upcoming trips - samui, krabi, hongkong and europe *happy* anyways, i have not uploaded and edited the pictures yet for obvious reasons - fatique, big pile of laundry, plants that needed my TLC and heh, possibly indulging in good drinks, music and good company tomorrow - jason crimson's back and all of us are gonna do something. we're on leave still. we woke up this morning and i wailed, this is not baliiiiiiii :( :( :( mr tay replied, yes, but this is Casa De David. and we have 2 great pools as well :) :) :) ahhh, the boy can be so cute at times. ok we're running off to taman tun to get our fix on auntie's great kon lou pan mee, pay bills and FRAME UP OUR NEWLY BOUGHT PAINTINGS! can't wait to see them hung on the wall! also, need to work on my paid posts, managed to grab a USD30 post while surfing at smelly internet cafe in bali.

written from '15,000 rupiah for 30 min internet wi-fi' at bali collection, nusa dua
arrived at club med yesterday. and you wouldn't believe how we got ourselves there. we had a huge luggage bag, a slingbag and a longggg package wrapped up with paintings that we bought. from kuta to nusa dua, we hopped onto the bike and scooted all the way on the highway, dodging cars, huge trucks, buses and tons of other bikers - just the 2 of us setting forth towards club med, nusa dua. there's something truly comforting in me wrapping my hands around his waist, poking at his bintangbeer-induced belly and banging our helmets at one another when crossing bumps and dodging potholes. this is when i truly feel that life should be as simple as this. club med is honestly a lazy man's paradise. beautiful, but definitely overated. i did archery yesterday and mr tay played soccer and scored 3 goals (+1 which he so generously gave the chance to the Swiss boy for a simple touch-in).

My aunt Jenny plans on renovating her home just in time for the New Year celebration. So, she has asked us, the relatives to recommend a good contractor to work on the renovation of the house. I did a quick search on the internet and found this great site that helps make home renovation chores a lot more easier.
ConstructionDeal.com is an free online service that matches Contractors to Homeowners with building, remodeling, and repair projects. Search is done via their extensive categories, for example:
categories under New Construction: architects, construction cleanup, home inspectors, swimming pool construction, etc
categories under Additions/Remodels: attic/basement remodeling, closet organization, sunrooms, wine cellars & storage, etc
categories under Interior: fire sprinklers, cabinets, window tinting, wallpaper, etc
categories under Exterior: awning & patio covers, outdoor kitchens, spas and hot tubs, landscape designers and many many more
For example, I am interested in the Swimming Pool Construction category. I clicked on the link and I am being brought to fill up a very simple form. Just describe your job by answering some really simple questions, such as:
How long to keep project active? How many companies should respond? What service do you need? When would you like to begin? Estimated project budget?
Fill in more description of the project, your contact details and you're good to go! It is really as simple as that.
As mentioned, it is a free service and there is no obligation to hire if you don't want to. Aunt Jenny would love this site as she can post her job requests or she can do simple searches via the categories as listed above. It is truly the Smart Way to Find a Contractor! Fast, Free & Easy.
Clients would be pleased to note that, there is a home improvement blog and help with financing with their partnership through E-Loan. An E-LOAN Home Equity line of credit can help get the funds quickly while shopping for a contractor. With a home equity line of credit, you can write checks directly to pay off your contractors or even buy supplies.

David is planning to do a little makeover for his parent's place in Batu Pahat, just in time for the Chinese New Year celebration. One of the items in the must-do list would be to get new blinds.
I found that SelectBlinds.com has some very lovely blinds to choose from. Out of the wood blinds, faux wood blinds, mini blinds, and etc, we are particularly interested in the vertical blinds. Lovely collection they have there, I must say! And what's great is that they are currently having a SALE! I love the Premium Smooth Vertical Blinds, which are priced at $42.99 and after the price slash, it is at an affordable $32.25!
They also have a wide selection of shades and shutters in various colors and slate widths. These are the same blinds and shutters that are seen weekly on "Home Makeover".

- bali bliss - medium: graffiti, fb inspired by: the immense anticipation of this trip since June 2007!
***
departure: 201007 - 10.55am hello, airport. we meet again :)
finally, the long-awaited trip has arrived.
despite having to go thru shit from club med malaysia, despite having to fork out an additional couple of hundreds to change the flight dates (mr tay's good friend's wedding), and despite we were fighting sometime last week (i actually tot of finding a replacement to go with :P) - we are finally good to go
tonight's gonna be packing time. i love to pack! day 1 - what outfit day 2 - pants? skirt? day 3 - hair down? ponytail?
-
-
day 6 - muahahahha. all the way to day 6! i likey loooonnggg hols!
mr tay kept reminding me to pack light. i'm known to be an auntie when it comes to packing for trips. the extra pants, the additional top, the glitzy one for ... who knows we might go clubbing?, the extra bubblegum pink and sunflower yellow panties, the extra nightwear to still look seductive while sleeping, the extra bag to match certain outfits everything actually.
no shoes. am just gonna go with a pair of sandals and surprise myself (and mr tay)with more shoe purchases from bali WILL HOWEVER PACK ADIDAS ISOGON WITH ME. 6 days without sports is like, putting on 10 kg for me and besides, club med has to have a nice gym, so why waste by not utilizing it :)
what else. toiletries besides the usual, mr tay insisted that we use the hotel's shampoo and condi, to save luggage space. no baby, not if i can help it. my Redken Extreme range is coming with me! with or without your consent
i wanna go parasailing this time around. no, i MUST parasail this time. i missed the chance back in phuket because they were charging insanely expensive. a huge fee for a mere 10 min fly. por-dah. i is no waterfish ok.

hopefully, i will be given a sail as nice and COLORFUL as the above. why? because it will make my pictures much more cantik and mr tay will be on standby as photographer. i swear, if he fails to capture good pics of me on the sail, he will have to fork out for me to have another go. wheeeeeeeee....
i have so many things to buy that i am afraid to make that list. so whatever comes to mind shall be bought then. top of the head now - chu's black vase, evil alex's bali kopi - ciggies (wtf! will forget this) - moet champagne (wtf also, will conveniently forget too ), some beaded sandals, paintings, bags, tops, accessories, hand-painted mugs - i am basically buying the whole island la ok.
BEBEK BENGIL! MUST EAT. the last time we were in bali, we somehow forgot to make a stop for this famous deep-fried duck/bebek. so this time, bebek bengil is on itinerary day 1. and same goes for Babi Guling. Sue, as promised, you will receive a call from me, all the way from bali, chewing and crunching the bebeks as we speak. she has had her share 2 months ago ok!
3 days at Kuta - Ubud - Jimbaran (hello seafood, we meet again) - Sanur 3 days at Club Med
ok, need to get back to The Itinerary planning else mr tay will throw a fit tonight. he is a bit anal about having a planned itinenary, doesn't like to waste time not knowing where to go when we're there. but it's ok, The Itinerary is planned with much pleasure by yours truly! i get to go wherever i want *gleeeeee*
we're renting a scooter for the whole 6 days. mr tay has a motorcycle license (surprise! i didn't know too till few weeks back), but hasn't rode one in yonks. so, pray that i'll make it back safely to report our second little trip to bali.
oh dear, i can't wait!
p/s:nice people of facebook, pls help me feed and pet Fat Luna while i'm away. the pig and i will be eternally grateful. and pls, can we make it a point NOT to send me anymore - slayers invitation, zombies invites, cause invites, and werewolves invites? and no, i do not want to join forces with you in counterstrike, your team will just have to shoot.blast.kill without me for now.
and rollypolly, i am afraid scrabulous has to wait till i'm back. don't quit halfway k, else you'll lose points or rather, don't quit else i'll have no chance to trash you! muahahaha.
ok. thankyouhaveaniceweekend :)

Festival holidays are coming up soon and most people have already begun working towards their shopping list. If you are you might want to visit Kickstime.com where you can take advantage of their back in business sale and get some great deals!
Sports lover would be pleased to find a vast selection of sportswear here. Same goes for kids, if you're planning to get them some sports shoes, take a look at their selection of Air Jordans and Air Dunks - both of which are on sale right now.
If Nike isn't your cup of tea, then I am sure these will. They have a wide selection of Prada shoes and Gucci shoes as well as the good ol' Timberland and Bathing Apes.
Kickstime doesn't limit itself to just doing shoe sales. Here, you can also find clothing which are categorized into - hoodys, jeans and shirts. Do check out the Red Monkey Jeans and Evisu jeans as they are currently on sale too. Handbags, sun glasses and hats are being sold here as well.
The company is based in London, England but they ship world wide. I always appreciate an online store that offers international shipping. As well as shipping worldwide they ship for free!
Another thing that I like about this company is that there are several ways to contact them if need be. You can write to them using their postal address or by email or call their toll free number. Most online stores don't offer a telephone number let alone a toll free one so I appreciate that Kickstime.com does this.
As I said if you are starting to shop for the holidays visit this online store. You might find an item that would make a perfect gift for one of your friends or relatives.
