i have been firing liquids since yesterday. and my tummy is making funny noises like there's something swimming inside you know.
and it's all because of the satay ayam and otak-otak i had on wednesday evening for dinner. these culprits were purchased from this makcik at a pasar ramadan in damansara perdana.
ewww. so not having satay or otak-otak for 1 year now.
this unfortunate incident has caused me to:
- not shower the whole of yesterday (eh, diarrhoea plus fever ok, how to bathe?) :P
- have zero appetite (which has also inadvertently caused me to boast to mr tay this morning, "bi, i thin already!")
- have a flat stomach (not complaining!)
- work from home, which is quite glorious la, i must admit
- which ultimately resulted in me missing team lunch at Delicious, One Utama today! *grrr*
- befriended Minyak Angin Cap Kapak
it's 3.03pm now.
yawn.
i haven't even packed yet. mr tay and i are going on a road trip today to ipoh to attend his very good friend's wedding. the wedding that caused us an extra of RM800 flight changes for our bali trip :P
i dunno what i'm going to wear for the wedding dinner yet. hmmmmm.
i hope the hotel we're staying in provides a clothes iron upon request. and i certainly hope my appetite will return tomorrow evening because, even as i visualize sharks fin soup now, i will puke.
and pls la, it's IPOH we're talking about...
kai si hor fun, steamed chicken with fat bean sprouts, J mentioned satay babi at kong heng (ewwww, NO SATAY!), white coffee, dim sum, and CKT.
let's just hope my tummy will resume its normal self and stop turning everything that goes in within 5 min... into shit.
quite excited la about the road trip! i love road trips, if you don't know already. but Sue warned that, if my tummy continues to misbehave, i might have to squat at the bushes to do my thing later.
which is why, i've sent mr tay out to buy me some ammo - 5 bottles of poh chai yuen

i will be back on Sunday! now i must go shower, pack and yay, just embrace the weekend :)
wait, one more ---> :)

I do know of some mothers having a tough time juggling many tasks at hand on a daily basis. Making sure household chores are taken care of, the kids get their proper meals, bills being paid on time, etc.
When it comes to their children's education, there will be no compromise. No matter how tired the mother is, she will sit up with her kids to study or even send them to and fro to a learning center.
But what these mothers should know, is this website, TutorVista.com. TutorVista.com is the leading global online tutoring company in the world which boasts of over 50,000 registered students. student and tutor share an on-screen whiteboard
TutorVista.com only hires experienced tutors, with most having a master's or Ph.D. degree and a 5-10 years of teaching experience. These tutors are required to complete weeks of intensive training and must pass stringent certification exams according to state standards.

is the grass really greener on the other side?
i was on leave yesterday and was at klcc.
had a 2.30pm 'appointment' with six.am.
registered myself at the concourse area and got into the elevator. elevator stopped at fitness first gym. took a quick glance at the watch, 2.20pm, i've got time. got out of elevator to check out the gym. membership fee for fitness first gym is RM170.
RM170 vs RM149 (the one i am currently paying at celebrity fitness) with NO towels provided. hmm. gotta admit, for some twisted reason, i still love my gym. nope, not because of the occasional celebrities spotted in the gym, but really, i love my gym. maybe it's the corporate purple color it bears? i dunno. so, when i do eventually have to switch to fitness first, klcc... i will be so broken hearted.
got up to six.am. sat down and checked out the reception area at level 8. first thought that came to mind, "impressive meh?" that's coz mr tay said, six.am's office is nicer than eye-bee-m's. i don't think so lor. looks pretty normal and standard to me. i mean, how can you beat ogilvy's creation of the butterfly wall at eye-bee-m's level 19! :P
they play creepy classical music in all their elevators. don't get me wrong, i love classical music but for some reason, at that moment when i was riding up to level 17 for the 'appointment', images of psycho killers torturing their victims amidst the sick atmosphere of chirpy classical sounds came to my mind.
think, hannibal lecter. muahahhahaha.
anyways
the 'appointment' lasted a good 1 hr and 15 min. for some reason, i was not thoroughly excited like i used to be when attending these sort of 'appointments'. i've lost it. i know it, mr tays knows it. we both soooo want to quit our 9-5 jobs, quit earning peanuts and start doing something by ourselves. which by the way, the fellas at six.am said my current salary in eye-bee-m was too high for them to match and had asked whether i'd mind a paycut.
HELLO???
yes. i do mind actually. my personal rationale is pretty simple:
damansara perdana to eye-bee-m - 10 min away by car damansara perdana to six.am - horrendous traffic, 45min?
but of course, this wasn't mentioned during the 'appointment'. i don't mind traveling that 45 min, but seriously the paycut???
pretty shocking to me, really. to be asked for a paycut when all along, i thought i was being paid peanuts over here. hehe. mr tay said no. a firm NO. don't accept if there's gonna be a paycut. he was actually more pissed than me
i don't know. she will come back to me within this week and we'll see how it goes.
working for eye-bee-m is afterall wayyy cooler than six.am, i reckon

there's this guy, by the name of VialentinoTay who has just requested to be added into my list on facebook.
VIALENTINO TAY. not even valentino but VIALentino.
wondered whether it could be one of mr tay's cousins trying to be funny. so checked his profile out. nahhhh, definitely not related to mr tay. we have 1 common friend though - ryan hew. hmm.

early birthday celebration for the mother
sunday lunch buffet at shangri-la - daddy, mommy, brother, mr tay & yours truly.
for RM75++ per person, i only ate food worth RM40, i think.
i took:
some fresh oysters, ate 3 1 mussel 2 huge ass abalone slices, which was yucky and was then discreetly discarded away under the piles of bones and shells a pile of asparagus, only managed like 5 stalks, then discreetly discarded as well a couple of steamed dim sum a few spoonfuls of fake shark fin soup some mushrooms mr tay fed me with a lot of sashimi, yummm mr tay fed me a spoonful of beef rendang
that was it. totally did not even try the noodles, pasta, fish, chicken, lamb, briyani rice, satay, and 1 million of other foodies there.
and it was all because of these:

i love the colorful swirly marshmallows!

these, i never touched. not a fan of tarts

 i love this shot
we kept stalking this pink-dressed little girl

the bottom right - chocolate brownie fudge was soooooooooo gooooood
chocolate and vanilla creme brulee in minicups :)

daddy and mommy behind senior and junior cuppies :)
brother amist the chocolate mess caused by yours truly
boy: wuahhh, damn full! girl: uh-huh boy: think i go take ice cream now girl: *speechless*

it's her birthday this coming 26th (coincidently both of us, falls on a 26th - mine in may).
mr tay and i are bringing her, dad and my bro for a buffet lunch/dinner at shangri-la this sunday.
speaking of which, i need to get her a cake.
stumbled upon this wonderful wonderful site: pinkcakebox.com
so pretty!!! i love quirky-designed cakes. can't stand those perfectly made ones i.e. square, round, urghh.
I LOVE TOPSY TURVY CAKES
yes, they actually call them topsy turvy cakes. so cute!
corpse bride topsy turvy cake! i'm a fan of the corpse bride art! love love love tim burton's works

another one! though not topsy turvy

awww. cute

i know for a fact that someone will swoon at this *wink* butterfly on each individual cupcake

so cute!!!

ok la, enough. if you're interested, check the gallery out for more designs at pinkcakebox.com
and not like we can order and have it sent to us here right, so the closest good cake baker that i've been following (her blog) is this: The Journal of a Girl who Loves to Cook*click*
she's studying in australia now but when she's back in malaysia for hols, she bakes upon requests :)
Toadstool Fairy Princess Castle

Stack of Pink Presents
 she's good stuff
alternatively, there's this lady who bakes wonderful cakes from home at bandar utama. sue got her to bake a birthday cake for her cute 1 yr old niece, chloe recently.
let me know if you want her contact
not like i'm getting a topsy turvy cake for mom. she'd nag me to death for spending on bomb on a cake that is 'ku leng ching quai' for her.
