I bought a really quirky laptop bag from Zara *i heart*
* i look forward to 4 days without work.
* attending a wedding on Sat with the bf.
* going to a house-warming dinner at the bf's grandparents' new place, which will be filled with his 1 million aunties and uncles and little cousins (who has never called me 'auntie' in the past - bless them)
* been having RM0.80 Gardenia Sambal Ikan Bilis bun for lunch for a couple of times last week and this week as well. sometimes RM0.80 bun would have to satisfy that hunger pang when you just have no time. i had better lose some weight from all the Sambal Ikan Bilis madness.
* my mom just emailed me to announce that she will be going to Bali for her company trip. i am missing Bali already :(
* i love Feist.
* currently reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. reading extremely s-l-o-w-l-y for fear of finishing it up too soon. it really is a very very good book, loving it.
* The Time Traveler's Wife has been made into a movie. it is still in production, should be out sometime this year. Eric Bana as the leading actor, I mucho mucho heart. Not liking Rachel McAdams for the role of Claire.
* YOU MUST READ THE BOOK.
* currently blogging from One Utama, while waiting for mr tay to come pick me up. there is this moron with the username BadBoy who is repeatedly trying to access my laptop via Bluetooth. it says, "BadBoy is trying to access your computer. to allow access click here. to deny, ignore this prompt." son of a __________! i had to close the annoying prompt so many times! i then proceeded to Advanced settings and clicked No Devices in the the Accessibility tab. no more BadBoy. clever me.
* my new calling name in mr tay's hp, as of last night is - Supergirl

#1I have been a good girl. I religiously take my breakfast every single morning from Mon - Fri. On weekends, it just seems a little illogical for me to wake up early. Taking breakfast is good. It is good when you're the one that always seem to have 10am or 11am meetings - breakfast helps stop the noise. Can you imagine how embarrassed I got when my tummy growled or rumbled during meetings, especially one-on-one meetings?! It is VERY apparent when it is just the both of you in the meeting. Each time my tummy growls, I feel the urge to dig up a deep hole and jump right in. I have been taking O'Brien's sandwich set which comes at RM4.50. Choice of: Chicken Mayo (my fav) Egg Mayo with Bacon bits Tuna Mayo
Sandwich comes with a choice of Coffee or Juice (pink guava, green guava, apple, mango) And I love these sandwiches because, it isn't your usual pre-packed crappy sandwiches which the teensy bit of chicken drowned in mayo type. These fabulous sandwiches from O'Brien's comes in lots of fresh lettuces, tomatoes, corns and lots of chicken shreds. I talked about chicken because that is what I usually take. Today, I had the tuna mayo. I like my sandwiches in wholesome wholemeal bread. Delicious. On certain days when I feel that I'm skinnier (which rarely happens), I will head to McD's for their RM4 breakfast set. I have the McD's breakfast card, hence the RM4. Sausage McMuffin, Egg McMuffin, even my abso-fav Fish Fillet burger is on the set choices as well. So, I only have this when I feel thin (which again, I stress - rarely happens) Set comes with free coffee. #2
Remember when I was supposed to take my jab on Tuesday? Well, that did not happen. Not because I chickened out, I am never afraid of jabs. In fact, I am so sick in the head that I enjoy watching them insert the needle into my flesh. I had that sick thrill once when I caught dengue back in highschool days. I remember the nurse was having a tough time locating my vein (apparently, you need to inject the vein) and she was jabbing here and there, all over my arm. I got even sicker by helping her locate my veins. "Here!" "There, this one!" Yes, I am a sick in the head girl. So anyways, jab did not happen because of all days, where I usually never wear long- sleeved tops to work, I wore it on that fateful Tuesday. And then I was thinking, "Shit, how are they gonna inject me with this long tight-sleeved top? Checked my email and it clearly stated that "Please wear loose short-sleeved tops". Screw it, I then signed up for Friday instead. And here I am, waiting for M and J to sama-sama go get jabbed. These ladies have no fear too. And today I wore a short-sleeved yellow top. Yellow tops make me happy. Just like bubblegum yellow panties. #3
I AM IN DIRE NEED OF A HOLIDAY, CAN?! Checked my leave requests and the last leave I took (not for holiday even) was March 2008. Since then, I have not been taking leaves. Not even leaves that were meant to take for fun, lepak at home, go shopping type. I am tempted to screw work and take Friday off for next week. It will be a long weekend, Fri - Mon - bliss. I will go into the leave request system and request now. Yes, that seems like a really logical thing to do. Before I go insane again. Oh, Happy Friday everyone :) It's so nice to see everyone (well, almost everyone) in their casual attires on Friday. And in many different colors as well. I just spotted Alicia in a baby blue top. So cute. Such a happyfying feeling within :)

Monday morning is really not a good time
... to bug me.
It really irks me when the moment I step into office on a Monday morning, and people start bugging you for this and that. What is the status of this and that, has that person given approval for this and that, bla bla bla BLA BLA BLA!
IT REALLY IRRITATES THE SHIT OUT OF ME!
It's Monday. Not even 10am yet. Can you give me some space to check through my emails first, get my cup of hot drink first and basically just let me settle down first???
Is that too much to ask for???
I fcuking hate it. Not once, but it's been like this every single Monday. What, every Monday morning, you are extra hardworking? Gimme a break, sheesh.
***
Tomorrow I am getting jabbed.
Like, seriously, BIG ass thingy sticking into your flesh kinda jab.
The company is giving free Flu Vaccination for employees. Free, so why not, says the mommy. According to people, like the boss and M, who have taken this jab last year, they did not experience flu for the entire year. Woah, quite potent eh? Haha. Imagine me, a whole year of flu-free and no more leaky nose. Ahhhh...
Writing this from a place far far away from my desk where people cannot find and bug me.
So peaceful sial.

Went for a swim with bf again. This time, my stamina was better.
Then, Banana Leaf at Raju's, Jln Gasing. Only reason why we went there was coz it's al fresco, under the trees hence, my freshly washed hair will not absorb yucky oily smell
But for the record, our favorite Banana Leaf place would still be Paandi's. Kanna doesn't even come close, like some ppl would prefer. Hehe.
Just woke up from nice long nap. Heading out to Ikea to get some stuff and then dinner at Food Foundry - just for that little slice of heaven.
: That little slice of heaven :
Mille crepe
Mille crepe is a French cake made of many crepe layers. "Mille" ("mil") means "a thousand," implying the many layers of crepe. Lots of work goes into making this cake, but the final taste justifies it all. Light, luscious, and simply yummy.
comes in various flavors vanilla, chocolate, strawberries & cream, chocolate orange

Just finished a 3-hour telecon with the ASEAN team. Topic of discussion was 'Q4 Planning Marketing Activities'. The Malaysia team gathered in one room to dial in to the call, which was led by the ASEAN team, based in SG. Before it's time to call in, Boss took a look at the presentation deck sent down by ASEAN and said, "Midmarket, you have lots to do." The rest of the team members took a look at the deck and all wished me good luck, especially M who kept chuckling away. Seriously, all the other programs combined (like STG, SWG, etc) were fitted into a one-pager slide. Midmarket - took the ENTIRE one-pager. Quote of the day: "Angie, starting in October, you need to start camping in the office. Bring your bed and clothes." My BossAnd I thought Q3 was bad. I'm going to have so much fun. * on a happier note - Sue & i are going shopping at bangsar after work later. then she'll overnite at my place to watch a couple of bimbo girly DVDs. ahhhh... much needed, much needed.

Last night, thanks to Gracie, bf and I were invited to the SATC movie premier at GSC Midvalley. I will not comment on it cause bf and i have watched the full uncensored version before. Celebrities there were Elaine Daly (loved the dress she wore!), Serena C (err not quite the celeb but anyways), Jojo Struys (gorgeous in real life), Harith Iskandar and gang, etc. They censored so many scenes! To a point I got quite restless and felt compelled to explain to Grace, who sat on my right, what happened etc.
Today and tomorrow, I won't be in the office. Away for a workshop at Uptown and today, being Day 1, surprisingly I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I was actually dreading this workshop and was finding ways and excuses to escape from it. To make matters worse, work was piling up so, being away for 2 whole days for the workshop wasn't really a good idea but it was a compulsory workshop, so.
Made new friends. Very nice bunch of people and the facilitator was really interesting as well. For the first time, I didn't find myself fighting hard to stay awake throughout the sessions. Looking forward to the last session tomorrow.
At the end of Day 1 today, I've never felt prouder to be part of the IBM community. For the first time in my entire working career, I actually felt great being an IBMer :)
No seriously, I mean it.
* Looking for a good album to buy? I found one - Back to Love in Bossa Moments

But I just have to say this.
Sex and the City - The Movie is FABULOUS. Don't ask me how I got it, ask the bf :)
I have 4 people waiting in line to borrow this full, uncensored version, so gotta wait awhile longer if you want. The probable censored scenes in the cinema are a must-watch, hehehe!
I love the walk-in closet, I love Lily, I love the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress sans the stupid bird on Carrie's head, and I abso-f***ing-lutely love everything about it! Imma gonna watch it again!

9:45PM He says to go to the study room. "There's a letter which just came for you while you were at work." She potters over to the study room to collect her letter. "What else? Must be the usual credit card bills," she sighs. But no, it was a white envelope with no stamps or writings over it. Completely blank. A few anxious rips at the edge of the envelope, this was what revealed to her... A cute littlle self-made card. Front

So cute! He claimed he searched high and low for an image like this. Awww... so sweet. He knows that she loves stickmen images! :) Back You bet I won't! (ps: apparently our boy is still living in 2007) *hee!* I wuff you. .
