France has been voted as the most visited country in the world. Everything that you would ever want to experience or enjoy on your holidays, France would be it. With a great city like Paris, incredible mountain scenery, more monuments than any other country, France is indeed a very pleasant place to stay.
Paris, the city of light and its surroundings are one of main star attractions. Paris, is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. It is indeed quite impossible not to fall in love with Paris.
The main attractions in Paris, if you have not known this already:
Clockwise: The unmistakenable Eiffel Tower, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Place des Vosges, Notre Dame de Paris
Streetside dining at night in a cafe in Pigalle
Hotels in Paris are also abundant. For really good deals and even very last minute deals, Cheaperthanhotels offers last minute deals and year round accommodation at prices that are often very much lower than what you normally get from direct agencies. Free inclusions are thrown in as well, such as free breakfasts and meals, Internet access, and gyms to maintain that hot body.

For suburb hotels, away from the bustling streets of Paris, you can even check out the suburb Paris Hotels. Those who are great with the French language, would be pleased to know that this website also offers bookings in French at Hotelsenfrancais.
Bookings are also made easier at Cheaper than Hotels with preferance for travellers to sort bookings by star ratings, what deals, location and price range.
Indeed, if I ever travel to Paris, Cheaper than Hotels would be my top choice for accommodation booking

As sick as a pig. As sick as a dog. As sick as an angie low.
Call it whatever you may, I am as sick as can be.
Eyes are teary and can barely stay open. Nose is blocked. Hence, Mouth has to open and close constantly to breathe - very unattractive. Nose has to do the periodical *sniff* *sniff* or *SNIFF!* or sometimes, *hnnnnergh* into the 2nd box of tissues. So many trees has died because of me.
Was searching for a drug at home to knock me off to sleep last nite but none to be found. Couldn't sleep.
There's this game I play when I have a blocked nostril. Note that i said, NOSTRIL not both, but one nostril at a time.
Game: Only to be played when one cannot sleep. And of course has a blocked nostril.
Turn to the left - left nostril gets blocked. Turn to the right - right nostril gets blocked. Easy right?
So the whole night was spent on tossing to the left and right to move the 'liquid' or pressure around. With each turn, I get to breathe a little better for awhile.
Ok, that's pathetic.
But I get a temporary relief from moving the 'stuff' from left to right and vice versa with a 40sec window opportunity for breathing with BOTH nostrils unblocked! Why 40 sec? Because I counted! I spent the whole night analyzing this because i just couldn't sleep.
Ok, I am getting sick in the mind as well.
Updated an hour later after doing some mindless research:
Blocked nose on one side May 5, 2005 4:44 AM
I've always had a constant blocked nose right through the winter and summer. I can usually breathe okay through one nostril, but the other is blocked.
The side that is blocked can shift, for example if I lie down on one side, that will become the blocked side. They will never both be unblocked.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? Does it point to any problem in particular?
I AM NOT ALONE.
Ok, this one here, sounds pretty serious.

Maybank is opening just below our office! How cool is that! I can do all my banking just few floors below. Not that I use it anyway - m2u is the way to go, hehe. But good for emergencies i reckon.

Mr Tay woke up this morning and exclaimed, "Shit, it is only Tuesday."
Happy Just 2nd Day of the Week, people.

Overdosed - Pork. LOST. Games
Friday
Last Friday, mr tay and i ate at this newly opened German restaurant at The Curve for dinner. If you can't find it, don't worry. It is situated right at the back of TGIF.
We ordered Pork Knuckles, Creamy Carrot soup and a Pineapple juice. No pics because the camera went dead.
The portion was sooooooooooooo huge. The Pork Knuckles could've actually fed 4 ppl! The soup was like a meal by itself! It was really HUGE. I wish I had snapped some pics to show you. But overall, it was just ok. After gorging ourselves with pork, we swore not to eat pork for the rest of the week. Seriously, we were sooooo meat-overdosed!
Mr Tay ended the meal with an appropriate "Soooo jelak man" comment.
Saturday
Dinner was at SS2 Murni and I ordered a...
Maggi Goreng + Telur Mata Kerbau + Ayam Goreng
Totally, totally sinful! But I didn't care because I have not eaten Maggi Goreng for almost 2 years now! Plus it was weekend so, a little indulgence won't kill :P
After dinner, mr tay and i got home and walked over to Block C to CK + Elaine's place and he had some work to do while i had Elaine burnt a total of 30 games for me to play!!! WoohooOooo!
I have currently installed The Chocolatier. You can actually download it from here but you can play for a limited time only for... me thinks... an hour? While I can play forever and ever because Elaine gave me the serial cracks as well! Wahhahaha! This game is really addictive - my chocolate empire currently owns 6 chocolate factories and a profit of 3,590000+++ of moolah. Man, I am soooo rich! Wahahahahahahaa........ as if.
I have also installed SallySalon, where I run a salon for hairwash, cut, dye, blowdry, manicure, eyebrow tweezing, etc. So fun! I'm at level 13 now. So much more to go, yay!
I have yet to install:
- AbraAcademy (this is like Magic world where you deal with spells, fairies, etc. I LIKE!!!) - FairyGodMother Tycoon - Posh Shop - Cathy's Carribean Club - DreamDay Honeymoon - DreamDay Wedding - DeepSea Tycoon - Burger Rush - NannyMania - Virtual Villagers 2 - TurboPizza - Alice Green Fingers (i believe this is some sort of a gardening game?) - Believe in Santa - Little Shop of Treasures - and seriously, many many MANY more...
These games are like games where you strategize your empire or shop, raise money and then upgrade to better facilities, services, etc.
SO. MANY.
SO. SO. SO. MANY
I actually can't wait to go home and play Like, skip gym, skip yoga, abandon mr tay, skip dinner, hahaha! I seriously love games la. If you were to put mr tay and these games infront of me, I honestly would go with the games, serious!
Then, the mother of all evil - CK burnt season 3 of LOST for us and guess what happened later that night?
We marathoned Lost Season 3 from 12.30am - 7am
Till sunrise ok!!! That was how bad it was! Or rather, how horrible and obsessed we were!!!
I honestly think the scriptwriter of LOST is either seriously getting lost and not know where to go next OR he is actually a very brilliant man, waiting to surprise!-i-got-you-didn't-i us towards the end.
If, The Others claim to be good people, who doesn't kill yada yada yada, then explain WHY would they go OVER to Jack's island and kidnap kids, kidnap pregnant women like Claire, etc? If they wanted cooperation from Jack's team, why the need to force them? Lock them up in cages, put them through hard labour and whatnot. Why? Why? Why?
I am still trying to guess who is the bad person here:
Ben, the hideous little man? Or Juliet, the attractive blond?
Mr Tay is worse than me ok. I would go, "Let's sleep now." and he'd go, "One more! One more! Last one! Last one!" And this cycle would repeat for the next 5 more times as I had to comply! Because I am kiasu enough NOT wanting to miss out and NOT wanting to risk the chance of having him proudly gloat to me what happened next.
*shudder*
Sunday
Now, we slept at 7am right? Mr Tay had to wake up at 11am to attend a house invitation lunch thingy at his boss' place. I skipped because I wanted to sleep (and play my games).
I didn't sleep much either, got up at 11.30am and then made a cup of Milo + Crackers. Expanded my chocolate empire till 3pm and realised, shit! I haven't cleaned the house yet! Swept, mopped, scrubbed, washed till about 4.30 and got ready for facial at 5pm. I NEARLY slept during the eye massage part.
Playing these games are also making me skipping meals without realising it. I didn't have lunch and we only got out for dinner at 8.30pm at Uptown where we bumped into Sue and her family at the same restaurant! Happy Birthday girl!
Got home and then started LOST at 10.30pm. Told mr tay, only 1 episode ok? He said, ok. We ended up watching 2 episodes and if I hadn't stopped him at the 3rd one, we would be sleeping by 1.30am.

Meet My Dad, The Beatles Freak

Year 2000, I remembered coming home from college and dad ushered me in and told me to keep the noise down because, "Papa is doing something really important. Don't disturb ah."
There was another person sitting in our living hall, accompanied by her huge bag and with a pen and a notepad, she looked every bit of a journalist.
The table arrangement in living hall has been altered. Suddenly there was our dining table being brought into the living hall and on top of the table there were tons of daddy's Beatles collection.
My dad is like the BIGGEST HUGEST HUMONGEOUSEST fan of The Beatles. He has been a fan since his primary school days. Among his prized possessions are 2 thick cover notebooks filled with very very nicely handwritten lyrics of every song from The Beatles. In between these pages, he had also sketched some really nice drawings of Paul, John, Ringo and George. My dad also draws REALLY REALLY WELL. He also did some amazing individual portrait sketches of every member of The Beatles and those sketches were dated back in the 70s, so you could imagine how old and precious these work of art are.
Among his collection, there were also rare unreleased tape recordings which he managed to get off a friend who is currently residing in the US. I've listened to them and honestly it wasn't really something you would want to pop into your player to listen and relax. It was more like live recordings of the whole process of album recordings with all the pauses and mistakes made in between. The band members joking around, laughing and frustrations of having to do retakes again and again - THAT is how rare those tapes are. Told dad, "If you could finally let go of these tapes one day, LET ME SELL THEM FOR YOU THRU EBAY." These tapes are worth a lot when you are met with serious Beatles collectors.
 Source: The MalayMail archive
I couldn't access the full article as you need to pay and subscribe to access the archive. But ya, Ms Chow came back and interviewed him for The MalayMail. Then the following week, Ms Indra Santhiabalan (i remembered her name ok, but unsure of the spelling) from The Star also swung by our place and did an interviewed on dad. Berita Harian and Sin Chew Jit Poh (or was it Nanyang, i need to check with dad) also did their rounds.
My dad diligently cut out every article and picture and have some of them framed up. So, if you ever come to my place, you'd see them being proudly displayed in The Room. The Room = dad's designated room to store all his Beatles collection plus movies in VCDs, DVDs, and even casettes, videotapes, and vinyl recordings! I'm so glad that my dad is a music-lover like I am and also an avid collector of DVDs and CDs. Made me realised my dad's cool, you know? Hehe. Heck, he even had a jamming studio for college students to jam which he charges them at a certain rate per hour. Studio's name - Studio Jam. Very creative, dad, haha.
Anyways, over the weekend, dad and I plopped ourselves infront of the telly and watched this...

Sir Paul McCartney performed in this concert, The Space Within US in 2005 with 2 other guitarists, a keyboardist and a very cheeky drummer. Among the attendees - Bill Clinton, Jay-Z, Bono from U2, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, and whole lot more.
My dad has just bought this DVD recently so we sat down and watched. The audience were simply amazing! And dad looked as if, he wished he were in the concert. Haha.
me: if he ever comes to malaysia, would you go? dad: don't think they will ever come. only left paul and ringo. me: ya, which is sad isn't it? but nvm, if he does come, i go with you ok! dad: *smile*
Dad mentioned in his past interviews that he was starting a Beatles fan club in Malaysia. Which he did and at that time they were a small group of them getting together at Hard Rock Cafe, KL for gatherings and such. Hah... so cute. Dad is still recruiting, so if you know any die-hard fans of The Beatles, do let me know. Dad would love to expand his little fan club
And oh, dad asked me this while watching the DVD,
dad: you think i can email him? me: you want to email him?!? dad: ya, why not? me: errr, okkkk dad: help me google his personal email add ok?
So cute!
Roll upppp... roll up for the Magical Mystery Tourrrr...
* this is definitely NOT a sponsored post * :P
