Sunday
Sunday at its best too :) :)

A slow and easy day, without a care in the world...  just how I like it.

11.00 - Got up
12.30 - Out to The Little Dimsum Place, SS2 for lunch

We shared between the 2 of us:

Lor Mai Kai - this was mr tay's. he said, "not good."
Sunshine Bun - mr tay ordered this as well. i didn't like it as the sauce inside had too much of a egg-y taste. mr tay finished mine
Prawn Dumpling - i ordered this and it was all mine as mr tay doesn't like prawns
SzeChuan Surprise - not very surprising afterall. mr tay ordered this
Mushroom Meatball - we both wanted this. this was nice
Avocado Wrap - mr tay asked for this. erm, we didn't like it. tasted more like pandan than avocado
Fried turnip cake with egg and bean sprouts - we both wanted this and we hated it. "it was too clean," said mr tay. we still prefer pasar malam's version with more egg, more grease and more burnt sides
Tangy Mango Pudding - absolutely loved this

Service was really slow, food was under par, so needless to say, it was our first and last visit there.

2.00 - At home. Watched Rain Dogs. A Malaysian movie, under Andy Lau's production, with Yasmin Ahmad in it. Apparently won some awards but towards the end of the (very slow) movie, both Mr Tay and I looked at each other and went, "wtf?"

girl: eh, the title got 3 chinese characters.
boy: mmmm.
girl: guo xia yue?
boy: lol!!!
girl: yea what! Rain Dogs directly translated to mandarin is guo xia yue la!
boy: lol!!!

4.15 - Mr Tay crashed on the sofa
4.20 - Noisy Girl poked and prodded the sleeping boy to wake up but to no avail
4.30 - Noisy Girl got bored and snapped away

Saturday
Saturday at its best :)

10.00 - Facial
2.00 - At Plaza Damas
2.30 - Lunch at Izakaya Ichiban *click* Nice little Japanese restaurant which has just opened recently. Lunch for both for us, came up to RM98++, not bad for a great meal.
3.15 - Walked around Hartamas Shopping Mall.
3.30 - At SquareRoom *click* which housed 20 quirky clothes vendors. Some of the brands like: Purple Cow, Furry Tails, Qui, C'cille, etc.
4.30 - Went into Balalaca and came out with 2 pairs of shoes Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Joooi also housed in Balalaca

This is a wedged pair

These sparkled flatties which I can never have enough of.
As of now, I have 7 pairs of these in different colors. 3 pairs of silvers (i like to rotate wearing them incase they get worn out easily if i wear 1 pair too often)

4.45 - Spotted at this little corner, rattan-ish products made into small baskets, laundry bags, boxes, bags, etc. I loved it! If Mr Tay wasn't around, I would have gotten the laundry basket which came with a cover top. (it was RM75). These rattan-ish products are weaved so beautifully into with many many color combinations and in the end I got myself a RM20 holder.

i 'need' this to hold altogether my toiletries. mainly my facial products Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

5.10 - Mr Tay and I went on a slow drive checking out houses in Hartamas. Nice quiet neighbourhood.
5.30 - Back home. Resumed Prison Break.
8.00 - At The Curve. Met up with Gary Ah Beng and wife for dinner at

the apartment

My thoughts on this newly opened eatery at The Curve:

Located at the very same spot where Slippery Senoritas used to be. Opposite Sakae Sushi to be exact. the apartment is owned by the very same people who brought you TGIF, Laundry Bar, and Italiannies. Spotted Keith inside the bar, who first started at TGIF, then Laundry and now the apartment. Also spoke briefly to Nicol, the owner's son who mentioned that this new place has opened since Monday. I used to work with Keith and Nicol at TGIF, 1 Utama during my college years Big Smile And guess what, Nicol's family currently tapaoed the whole end lot of The Curve at The Street area, having Laundry, Italiannies and the apartment.

Mr Tay had Jamie's Pasta (some bolognaise sauce pasta tossed with duck and baked aubergines) - wasn't that good.

Gary had some very simple pasta cooked olio style - wasn't that good either.

Both Shanice and I had Baked Cod Fish - it was ok.

Dessert - Mr Tay and I had Baked Moist Chocolate Pudding and this was the bomb!!! Try it! Gary and Shanice ordered some fruit flambe thingy cooked in brandy sauce, which wasn't that great.

Overall I would say the food wasn't much to shout about. BUT having said that, I love love love the decos and concept of the restaurant. Simplicity at its best! As the name the apartment suggests, it was indeed done up looking very much like an apartment. Overall there's an outside "patio", the living room, bar area, bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, a reading nook and even an upstairs, complete with a wardrobe!

And the menu. Gosh, I love it. Easily, one of the many creative menu presentations I've seen so far. Most restaurants use expensive paper as their menus, some even use glossy ones but at the apartment, they use .... kertas grid Big Smile Yes, you heard me right, kertas grid. Remember how we used kertas grid to draw our graphs for Add Maths, Physics, Chem or Bio? Ya, the exact kertas grid. Cute! And they even have hand-drawn graphics on them which really adds to the whole quirkiness of it.

I noticed that each table has a herb plant. And each herb plant varies from one table to another. Our table had parsley which smelt so good. A bit like the Jamie Oliver's concept of obtaining fresh herbs within a hand's reach to add into your cooking. So imagine, if I thought my pasta could do with a little bit of parsley, I could just pluck some, fresh from my table top! Haha.

Would I go back? Definitely. Not for the food but the ambience and I have yet to dine 'upstairs'. Apparently, this is a 2-storey apartment Big Smile And all the waiters are decked in cute pink t-shirts!

If I were to describe the apartment in one word: koOky Smile

10.30 - Went to IKEA with Gary and Shanice. The married couple bought TWO Billy bookcases. Huge ass stuff which needed IKEA's transportation.
11.15 - Back home. Continued Prison Break.
01.00 - Our Prison Break journey ended. NO MORE cry The season finale ended with Michael arriving at this Sona place which looked like some science laboratory and MAN, WE SERIOUSLY HOPE THAT IT WOULD NOT TURN INTO BLOODY SCI-FI!!!

Seriously, how can you turn Prison Break into Sci-Fi?! It's just not right! It's looking kinda like there's some weird experiments going on at Sona. So we're crossing 20 fingers and 20 toes that it won't be sci-fied!

Very kan cheong...

The Quarter-Life Crisis Strikes Back

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Some people like to lead their life safe.
Some prefer to stick to routine.
Some hate to change.

While I,

I HATE DOING ROUTINE DAY-TO-DAY TASKS

I absolutely cannot stand it.
Admittedly, I get bored very easily, but honestly I can't help it!

When I was a kid, I got bored of my toys after playing with them for like 20min.

When I was in school, I only enjoyed my education years up till Form 3. Come Form 4 and 5, I decided to screw studying and just played. Needless to say, I gave my mom hell. Like really hell.

When I was 15, at Grade 8, I told my mom that I wanted to call it quits for piano. I just couldn't take it anymore! I was forced to only practice examination pieces every single week by the tutor. Same songs, same notes, same score arrangements - same shit. So bye bye piano lessons.

When I was in college, I got so bored attending lectures and doing crappy assignments, I'd skipped most of them and went to shopping malls instead. Midvalley was my favorite back then.

Now, when I am already in the workforce, I have to constantly remind myself that I cannot be like this anymore. That, this is serious business man. Your monthly income depends on this. Your love for new clothes and bags depend on it. Heck, my latest Harry Potter book depends on it!

But it's tiring, it really is cry
All these trying to stay positive and be happy with what you have is really tiring when in reality, I am as miserable as a cow.

Why should I keep doing something that I despise day in and day out?
Why do I have to put up with shitty people who thinks they own the world?
Hell, why do I even have to feel like this???Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I deserve to be happy. Everyone of us deserves to.
Having forced to do something that we despise every single day, just to survive is utterly sad and depressing.

I have this secret wish to be able to wake up every morning, smile and joyfully indulge in what I enjoy doing. Even if it's work, I hope for it to be interesting and bring immense self-satisfaction in what I do.
In other words, I need to be doing meaningful work.
But seriously, how many of us out there is really doing what they enjoy for work?

I'm 26 and I'm just a girl who craves a simple, happy and fulfilling life.
Ultimately, I see a great need to sit down and rethink my priorities and options in life.

Wednesday
Mr & Mrs Smith sans weapons

My bf is very good at pissing me off sometimes.

He makes me so mad that I just cannot talk to him, hence the cold silent war treatment.

I am the cold avoiding one whilst bf's the confrontational one.

Just how disastrous can that get?

Very.

He wants to talk. She doesn't want to. He tries to be cute. And because she is STILL mad, she gets extremely irritated and still won't talk.

Then, come the next day. When the cold avoiding female is feeling much calmer, she wonders (with great exasperation) every 5 min why hasn't he called.

The fact that he hadn't called till after lunch time, gets her even more agitated. Being the drama queen she is, she'd imagine the worst of the worst.

The Break-up.

What if the bf calls next to request for a break-up?! *gasp*

And being the emo woman that she is, the usual answer that pops up in her very dramatic head is always, "Break up la!"

"Who shall I bring along to Club Med now????? Hmm."

THAT drama ok Hurmph

So, Mr Tay is always the rational one. He wouldn't imagined such nonsense. No, he won't. He believes that there is always a better solution to every arguement. He would let the bitch gf cool down first, get back into her senses and then, only then would he call.

By 4pm, the drama queen is finally thinking straight. She is now suddenly feeling extremely willing to talk. And as if blessed with great telepathic power, Mr Tay will call.

She'd "Hello?" and he'd "Still angry?" and she who was initially VERY EXTREMELY POSITIVELY mad a couple of hours ago (before 4pm) would go...
"Little bit la," replied with a slight hint of sulkiness.

Mr Tay then takes the cue for peace-calling, launched into a wee bit of pujuking and very intelligently sverved away from the topic of arguement.

And suddenly they are discussing how sucky work has been for that day, what to have for dinner and suggestions such as "Prison Break marathon tonight okie?" would followsuit.

The female is then suddenly seen smiling diabetically sweet to everyone in the office.

Extremely exhaustive 24 hrs (almost) of having to:

- constantly look at phone for smses or calls
- play director in mind to many possible scenarios that might happen
- not being able to sleep
- lose hair
- lose focus
- sulk + pout + stay pissed + grow more frown lines

This wretched process repeats itself every now and then. It's hell having to go through it but what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, right? At least I am now, hah!

Awaiting next battle.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Hehe, I love you baby!

Monday
Monthly Pregnancies

Whole body gets tired easily.

Eyes are feeling heavy and is constantly on a yawning marathon.

Lower abs feels extremely uncomfortable.

The bottom privates feel like dropping off any minute.

Yes, you heard me right. DROP OFF. Just like a child is going to pop out any minute.

Ling and I at One Utama.

"You know what's funny with this picture?"

"What?"

"You walking with 1 arm behind your back and the way you drag yourself to walk. Really qualifies you as a pregnant woman but the thing is, you don't look like one. So, pls cut the crap and walk properlyla. Tsk tsk tsk, exaggerate like mad. Having period already so drama, imagine when you get pregnant?"

"I hope you get period EVERYDAY!" Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

You know what would be comforting right now?

Bed.

Thick and soft comforter sheets.

A big and fluffy pillow for the head.

Rachel Yamagata playing Reason Why at the background.

Ok, when Rachel's done can I have the TV to play a TVB series like The Drive of Live? (yes, i'm officially hooked on Astro on Demand since last Saturday)

Mr Tay hovering around? No. As in, noOooOoOooOo *horror* Bfs are best kept far far away during moments like this. The last thing you'd want to lose is your sanity.

Beach holiday? Are you mad????? Immobility can never sit right with a beach holiday!

Ice cream? No.

Chocolates? Nope, either.

1 week of not having to work. Perfect.

Seriously??? Shocked

Ok, stop dreaming, back to work and feeling 9mths pregnant.

p/s: i'm sitting on the sofa at the employee lounge with my legs kangkang wide open and frankly, i don't give a damn because it makes me feel better Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Saturday
Spoilt

Been back at Puchong since Thursday.

And have had:

- 2 days of durians for dinner
- home-cooked chili crabs
- prawns as huge as your palm
- fa lam ham yue poh (claypot pork belly with salted fish) - my absolute fav!
- slow-boiled old cucumber soup with oysters
- lots and lots of sleep

Just like today - woke up at 10.30, took a nibble on some breakfast, back to sleep, woke up again at 1.30pm for crabs, do some reading, and then 4pm slept again, just woke up at 6pm and what do I smell?

STEAMED HERBAL CHICKEN BREWING AWAY!

One of my all-time fav dish :)

And oh, can't wait to start on Harry Potter!

I knew it!

I SO KNEW THIS WORD EXISTS!

Last night I was trapped in a very exhaustive dream.
Dreamt that I was inflicted with a disease called Myopia (pronounced: my-oh-pia)
I didn't know such a word exist but it looked and sounded somewhat familiar, prolly picked it up back in school days. Biology classes, heh.
So I wiki-ed it out today and this is what Myopia is.

So, it's just some rabun mata shit!
And yes, I have Myopia a.k.a Short-sightedness as we all were told by when we have our eyes checked.
But in that dream, Myopia sounded like some deadly disease and I was told by the doctor that the only way to cure it is by... wait, let me reveal it towards the end of this entry, because it is SO FREAKIN' WEIRD.

I wanted to find out what dreaming of Myopia means, and as usual I went to DreamMoods.com.
1st search: Myopia --> No results found (so ok, it's not common to dream about myopia!)
2nd search: Disease --> Found!

Disease
To dream that you are inflicted with a disease, foretells that you will catch a slight cold or cough. Sometimes you dreams are able to spot an illness before you are aware of the symptoms.

Helloooooo? Perhaps I should request to have my fore-warning dreams to arrive earlier and not let me know when I am already having a cough? Mr Sandman, take note pls.

Ok, so the doctor in my dream told me that the only way to cure the so-called deadly disease known as Myopia, is by drinking lots of beer.
