Thursday
Stressed.
My new job is not as wonderful as some might perceived. Yes, I might be handling events, dealing with ads, ad agencies, playing around with company's money, shop online by raising carts and bonds, and other perceived wonderfulness - it's really not all that.

One of things that I've learnt in the workshop today. If any of my events screws up, be it, low attendance rate, bad feedback, went over budget, etc - red flags will show up mercilessly in the system, alerting the worldwide team and then I will have to be answerable to their probes. Such a huge responsibility lor! And and, if PO is not raised and signed, and if I still go ahead with my event, I will get the 1st strike. 3 strikes and I'm out. In other words, I have to be VERY VERY careful.

Precisely at 3.01pm today, I sent mrtay an SMS - I don't know whether I'm stupid or what. I don't understand.

A few O&M staff also sat in for the entire workshop. One of them, turned to me and said, "Whoa, your IMC role is tough mannnn."

:(

On a happier note, curly wurly is gone. I'm back being a straight. Hehe. Also, befriended Olivia, my fellow ibm midmarket counterpart from Hong Kong. She was so surprised I could speak Cantonese, you should have seen the look on her face. She had the impression that Malaysian Chinese girls can't speak the Chinese dialect. Mr Tay suggested that I bring her and her other team member out drinking tomorrow, like maybe to the AHR. Me, driving in KL, you must be kidding me. Can... if my car is equipped with GPS.

Tuesday
wed - fri all planned out
These days I have nothing interesting to blog about. Not that my past posts were that interesting anyways, haha. These days, my life revolves mostly on work work and more work, with the occasional sprinkles of davidtay here and there, but of course, hehe!

So tomorrow is gonna be an extremely busy day. Here is how my schedule looks like on my Lotus Notes calendar:

1000 - 1130 - Telecon
1400 - 1500 - Discussion
1500 - 1600 - Meet up with the Singapore team. They are here in KL together with the rest of the ASEAN country teams! I am very much looking forward to this. The last time I met the SG team were like a year ago when I went over to SG.
1700 - 1800 - Telecon
1900 - late - We're playing host to the other ASEAN countries. Bringing them over to Bangsar for dinner and drinks. Judy sent out this calendar invite as "Gai Gai on 25th evening" Haha, so cute.

So that's Wednesday for me. For Thurs and Fri, we and the above teams are attending a training workshop at One World Hotel. OMG, I know it's silly to say that I am looking forward to this, but just so you know, I hate being at the office. So, 2 days of listening to people giving presentations and food(!) is very much welcomed for a change, hehe. I wonder whether wifi is provided since all of us will have to bring our laptops there. Will have to bring the bf's Maxis USB modem along, just in case :)

And oh oh, what to wear? What to wear??

Monday
But of course
So very busy today and just wanted to jot this down before I leave the office.

Ex-fling/flame and his team of experts from a very huge advertising company is coming for a meeting with the team and I tomorrow. Ex-fling is currently the ___  of that company (very very high post, but not revealing). And interesting to note that, Ex-fling and I aren't exactly on talking terms.

So anyways, it's only natural that I must look hot tomorrow right?

Haha.

Sunday
Determined
Sunday.

Today, I am determined to:

  • get my long overdue fix on the Big English Breakfast
  • get my mani pedi done
  • get a good back massage. my lower back is killing me
  • probably swing by some photo shop to get my passpost sized pic taken
  • go to IKEA to get them little colored vases that I saw last week
  • buy myself the black watch

... and basically just make today a good one. Gawd, I'm starving. A whole day of no food yesterday was just liberating, haha. Ok, off to put on comfy clothes and have a good day today :)

Friday
:)
Ok, just something quick before me and baby heads out for dinner! We ate crappy Ikea dinner last night, so he had to make it up to me coz he insisted on checking out the Ikea dinner menu yesterday. SOMETIMES they do have nice stuff like Ayam Masak Merah + Beriani Rice. But last nite, the menu was horrible beyond imagination.

My bf is the cutest thing ever.

I came home from work and at the front door, I saw his Lewre work shoes and knew he was back from work. So I got in, the lights were on but baby is nowhere in sight! I searched the room, study room and living room - couldn't find the bugger.

Then, I dumped my laptop and bag and thought he would be at the balcony when suddenly.... out jumped a full grown man dressed in just shorts, jumping up and down, arms flailing while going, "Helloooo Hellooooo!"

Burst out laughing coz he was so damn cute. Just like a baby, except he has body hairs and is 5ft 7 in length. So cute. I love my boyfriend.

Then while he was tinkering away in the study room, trying to install some program, I took his handphone and changed my calling name from My Girl! to Leng Lui. It's about time. Let's recap the names I've changed for myself on his mobile.

  1. Girlfriend
  2. MUACKS
  3. NOISY GIRL!
  4. My Girl!
  5. Leng Lui

Very busy at work, trying to sort a lot of things out properly, plus meetings and all. I have not shifted to my new desk yet. Been procrastinating and today, when I finally wanted to move, boss pointed out to me that someone was camping at my new desk. Gotta mark your territory quick, said the boss. Will definitely move on Monday. And by next week, hopefully, fingers crossed, I will get a new ...

And now, we're leaving to dinner. No idea where yet but it had better be good this time!

Done with Cashmere Mafia

... and now

I AM LOVING LIPSTICK JUNGLE!

Particularly love how Victory Ford (played by Lindsay Price) looks in the dress below (couldn't find the full length pic online) as she heads out for a date.

I love most of her style in the movie. Lots of purple apparels thrown in - purple sweater, trenchcoat, eye shadow, knit hat and even a purple bag!
As for the other 2 girls, just doesn't get me excited, you know?

and may I add, Bennett (Victory's beau) is such a sweetheart :)

marathoning the series like crazy!

Coincidently, my mother is reading Lipstick Jungle. R-e-a-d-i-n-g.

Haha!

Friday
Backtrack

Ok, last Saturday, Sue and I decided to celebrate our career advances by rewarding ourselves at Pavilion. It was a 11-hour of pure shopping, lunch, movie and dinner madness. My parking ticket came up to RM13 (after being discounted RM2 for shopping more than RM100 at the mall).

We reached Pavilion at about 10.30am and headed up straight to GSC to purchase tix for What Happens in Vegas. My Onna Ehrlich bagggg, I wanttttttt *sob* Will set aside money to buy it next year when I'm in New York, hehe!

Then, it was shopping time.

There was this mad designer jeans sale and with prices slashed from RM690 to RM190 (for the FrankieB range), who could resist right?! I love the quirky designs they have at the back pockets, simply too cute! We must've gone crazy, piling up our arms with jeans, jeans and more jeans. Just take a look below at the pile! We shared the huge fitting room to ourselves to save time and all.

Sue bought this!
Told her, that this jeans was sooooooo her.
So cute! Can you spot the pink guitar?

Photobucket

I tried on many but didn't buy any.
Just wasn't flattering enough for me, I feel.
The jacket below was bought a NafNaf at 50% off, just before we tried on the jeans.
Can't really see clearly coz I was wearing a black spaghetti top inside.

One of the FrankieB jeans I tried below

I bought stuff that day from:
NafNaf
Cortefiel
Banana Republic (madness coz there are stuff there at 40% off and additional 10% if you have AMEX. and on that fateful day, I FORGOT TO BRING ALONG MY AMEX! so settled for only 40% off)

Sue bought stuff from:
FrankieB jeans
NafNaf
COACH

My denim skirt from Cortefiel
Love the design at the back pocket
Actually that was the ONLY reason I got this skirt. Haha

Dinner was at Athena, a Mediterranean cuisine joint right, outside of Pavilion. I think the prices are pretty reasonable and would love to come back one day with the bf.

Sorry, the following photo quality is quite bad. Taken from phone camera, so can't expect much!

We ordered 3 starters and 1 pasta to share:

Eggplant with cheese and tomato, etc

Photobucket

Baked cheese mussels! I love!
Not the best I've tasted but it was good enough.

Photobucket

Mixed bruschetta in shrimp, tuna, mushroom and classic tomato
These were yummy.

Photobucket

Aglio Olio linguini in chili flakes
Yum!

Main splurge of the day

Sue's COACH wallet!

Ok, the story was like this. Sue's stupid ex-bf gave her a COACH wallet long time ago which she was STILL using eventhough they've broken up. This is not right, I told her. Old one don't go, new one won't come Tongue

So, we walked into COACH and came up with a new wallet!

One happy girl with the COACH Legacy wallet :)

All in all, a pretty productive day! I came home with a pair of very sore feet even though I prepared myself by just wearing a pair of comfy sandals. More shopping days like this please! :)

@ 10:15am

I have pics which I've not resize and upload. Am just feeling really lazy at the mo.

Now, we are asked to change our lifestyles. Honestly I do not feel the pinch yet (petrol wise) because my daily driving is contained within Damansara itself. Home, Damansara Perdana to office, Bandar Utama - 5 to 10 mins. And my car is only a 1.3, heck care la whether it has a fast pick up or not. If it can transport me to where I want to go, it's good enough for me. My dad has actually asked me to buy a new car. No, I told him. I've paid all my car loans and I'm not about to start another unnecessary monthly 'debt' which say, RM700 - RM1000 a month (now plus additional RM100 on petrol), spent on car, is quite dumb. It would be better spent elsewhere. Like, shoes and bags :) Or even landed properties.

You don't have to agree with me, not asking you to anyways. Just my own personal bimbo thoughts, that's all :)

So anyways, Chin Ai and I were discussing about this and apparently the new 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid is quite fuel efficient.

http://automobiles.honda.com/civic-hybrid/

Nice.

P/S: The bf downloaded the entire SATC movie! Why bother with cinema when they are gonna censor every damn thing? I especially like Samantha scenes, which will not survive the chopping board. Hahahaha!
