... and now
I AM LOVING LIPSTICK JUNGLE! (from the same author who brought you SATC, Candace Bushnell)
: Cashmere Mafia :

: Lipstick Jungle :

Particularly love how Victory Ford (played by Lindsay Price) looks in the dress below (couldn't find the full length pic online) as she heads out for a date.
I love most of her style in the movie. Lots of purple apparels thrown in - purple sweater, trenchcoat, eye shadow, knit hat and even a purple bag! As for the other 2 girls, just doesn't get me excited, you know?
and may I add, Bennett (Victory's beau) is such a sweetheart :)
marathoning the series like crazy!
Coincidently, my mother is reading Lipstick Jungle. R-e-a-d-i-n-g.
Haha!

Ok, last Saturday, Sue and I decided to celebrate our career advances by rewarding ourselves at Pavilion. It was a 11-hour of pure shopping, lunch, movie and dinner madness. My parking ticket came up to RM13 (after being discounted RM2 for shopping more than RM100 at the mall).
We reached Pavilion at about 10.30am and headed up straight to GSC to purchase tix for What Happens in Vegas. My Onna Ehrlich bagggg, I wanttttttt *sob* Will set aside money to buy it next year when I'm in New York, hehe!
Then, it was shopping time.
There was this mad designer jeans sale and with prices slashed from RM690 to RM190 (for the FrankieB range), who could resist right?! I love the quirky designs they have at the back pockets, simply too cute! We must've gone crazy, piling up our arms with jeans, jeans and more jeans. Just take a look below at the pile! We shared the huge fitting room to ourselves to save time and all.
Pile

Sue bought this! Told her, that this jeans was sooooooo her. So cute! Can you spot the pink guitar?
I tried on many but didn't buy any. Just wasn't flattering enough for me, I feel. The jacket below was bought a NafNaf at 50% off, just before we tried on the jeans. Can't really see clearly coz I was wearing a black spaghetti top inside.
One of the FrankieB jeans I tried below
I bought stuff that day from:
NafNaf Cortefiel Banana Republic (madness coz there are stuff there at 40% off and additional 10% if you have AMEX. and on that fateful day, I FORGOT TO BRING ALONG MY AMEX! so settled for only 40% off)
Sue bought stuff from:
FrankieB jeans NafNaf COACH
My denim skirt from Cortefiel Love the design at the back pocket Actually that was the ONLY reason I got this skirt. Haha
Dinner was at Athena, a Mediterranean cuisine joint right, outside of Pavilion. I think the prices are pretty reasonable and would love to come back one day with the bf.
Sorry, the following photo quality is quite bad. Taken from phone camera, so can't expect much!
We ordered 3 starters and 1 pasta to share:
Eggplant with cheese and tomato, etc
Baked cheese mussels! I love! Not the best I've tasted but it was good enough.
Mixed bruschetta in shrimp, tuna, mushroom and classic tomato These were yummy.
Aglio Olio linguini in chili flakes Yum!
Main splurge of the day Sue's COACH wallet!
Ok, the story was like this. Sue's stupid ex-bf gave her a COACH wallet long time ago which she was STILL using eventhough they've broken up. This is not right, I told her. Old one don't go, new one won't come
So, we walked into COACH and came up with a new wallet!
One happy girl with the COACH Legacy wallet :)
All in all, a pretty productive day! I came home with a pair of very sore feet even though I prepared myself by just wearing a pair of comfy sandals. More shopping days like this please! :)

I have pics which I've not resize and upload. Am just feeling really lazy at the mo.
Now, we are asked to change our lifestyles. Honestly I do not feel the pinch yet (petrol wise) because my daily driving is contained within Damansara itself. Home, Damansara Perdana to office, Bandar Utama - 5 to 10 mins. And my car is only a 1.3, heck care la whether it has a fast pick up or not. If it can transport me to where I want to go, it's good enough for me. My dad has actually asked me to buy a new car. No, I told him. I've paid all my car loans and I'm not about to start another unnecessary monthly 'debt' which say, RM700 - RM1000 a month (now plus additional RM100 on petrol), spent on car, is quite dumb. It would be better spent elsewhere. Like, shoes and bags :) Or even landed properties.
You don't have to agree with me, not asking you to anyways. Just my own personal bimbo thoughts, that's all :)
So anyways, Chin Ai and I were discussing about this and apparently the new 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid is quite fuel efficient.

Nice.
P/S: The bf downloaded the entire SATC movie! Why bother with cinema when they are gonna censor every damn thing? I especially like Samantha scenes, which will not survive the chopping board. Hahahaha!

The Only Time I Consume Rice
,,, is when
- I am having BKT at Mungo Jerry, KL. I usually lap up 3/4 of rice and scoop the remainder 1/4 portion over to the bf.
- Dining at Purple Cane, The Gardens! I love love love the dishes and the rice there. Rice is cooked with tea and tea leaves bits are scattered a little over the rice. Extremely fragrant. Here, I usually lap up THE WHOLE BOWL OF RICE.
- My mom cooks Ham Yue Fa Lam Poh.
- I am in Batu Pahat. Having to please the mother of my bf is not easy as she tends to ask me to eat eat eat and eat. One after another
- Express BKT that the uncle cooks and sells across our condo. A good express take-out that both bf and I do, usually on Mondays - me after my Bodypump and RPM classes and him, after his futsal. I take half bowl of rice.
- People buy me Nasi Lemak. Which is very very rare.
- The bf insists on me trying Batu Pahat's famous Nasi Beriani.
- And.... zhong (bak zhang or chinese dumplings). My mom gave me TWO zhongs yesterday. "1 for you and 1 for David, ok?" says mommy. "Ok." I replied. 10 min ago, I walloped the entire TWO zhongs. Justifiable! I did an hour of Bodypump just now at the gym and left the class feeling extremely hungry. Ok maybe not all, I left behind half of the glutinous rice on the second dumpling. Tummy is not feeling very good now as I have a weak stomach and cannot digest glutinous rice since young.
So basically in a week, I can easily go on without a single grain of rice. I don't have weekly BKT or weekly Purple Cane, neither does my mom cook Ham Yue Fa Lam Poh weekly and of coz I don't get to eat zhong every week too. So it is actually really easy for me to give rice a miss.
Rice is evil ok. Ya ya, some might say, rice is ok as long as you don't overdo it. Is 1 plate of rice a day considered as overdoing it? I'm sure you'll say no. But to me it is. At one point, I totally started craving my Nasi Goreng Pattaya, Nasi Goreng Kampung, Chap Fan, etc and I had rice literally every single day, once a day. And guess what? My bum got bigger, my thighs got bigger, heck, even my face got bigger.
So, seriously. Rice is evil. Don't say you will exercise it off coz you know you won't. Well, I won't. Coz in actuality, despite my regular Bodypump and RPM classes in the gym, I DREAD EXERCISING. It really is a chore dragging myself to the gym each time. So, my theory is pretty simple - cut off the rice, and you don't have to exercise that hard. But of course, cutting off rice doesn't mean you can binge on chocolates, cakes, and mee goreng mamak.
These days, I only snack on Nestle Extra Fruity & Creamy Yogurt. I found this by accident while shopping at Tesco with the bf. Comes in 3 flavors - Luscious Strawberry, Fruits of the Forest and Blueberry Cheesecake. I have only tried the first two flavors and I love them both to bits. This tub of heaven is SERIOUSLY CREAMY AND SMOOTH. It's quite a huge tub alright, so you can consume some whenever you feel like it and pop it back to the fridge. I ran out of it, coz if not I would have taken a shot to show you how big the tub is. I can usually finish up the entire tub within 3-5 days. All by myself, because the bf absolutely hates yogurt.
Ok, this is the only pic I could find online. It doesn't really show you how big the tub is, but trust me, IT IS BIG.

Guess which item I MUST HAVE?
Very tired. Just got home from a 11 hours of shopping, eating, movie at Pavillion with Sue.
What Happens in Vegas is ABSOLUTELY A MUST WATCH. Like I've always believed, you can never go wrong with Cameron Diaz! I do not wanna go on raving how good and funny the movie was and how some of the stuff that Cameron wore in the entire movie were gorgeous, so just watch it, hehe! I was observing this particular item on her in some of her scenes and the first thing I did when I came home was to google it out. So take a guess. Hot LBD Blue Diane Von Furstenberg dress Another DVF dress in hot pink
She looked amazing in this dress. This pic definitely doesn't do justice to her. Again, go watch the movie! Anyway, the answer is this. Found the article and pics hereIt's a Rachel bag from Onna Ehrlich, retailing at $650. Have found a seller selling this at eBay but she probably doesn't ship to Malaysia. We'll see. Ok, will blog about the damages we both incurred and some pics as well next!

One can do many things in 2 hours.
Get stuck on the road is not one of them.
So, there I was driving on the LDP when I received SMSes from friends informing of the recent price hike in petrol. And the next thing you know, every petrol station on my left and right was packed to the brim. It was rather an amusing sight to see kiasu people trying their very best to squeeze in to fill up their tanks. And just so suddenly, the usually impatient and rude Malaysian drivers on the road, have all became very patient and civilized - all lined up, waiting patiently for their turn, like good boys and girls.
Just baffles me silly, really. Like, how much can you save? With all the wait, your engines running, petrol are still being consumed. Not forgetting the HORRENDOUS traffic jam that you caused everyone! For example ---> Me.
I was on the way to Sunway Pyramid from Bandar Utama to meet up with Miss PF for dinner. Got out of the building at 6.15pm and reached Pyramid at 8.20pm. What the fcuk la really. FREAKIN' TWO BLOODY HOURS. The whole stretch of LDP was literally not moving, ok maybe, crawling. TWO HOURS! My bum was aching, my left foot very tensed and sore from pressing and releasing the clutch, and my sanity was on the brink of non-existence.
So as I reached Pyramid, parked my car at the new wing (love them green light red light concept) and met Miss PF up at Zen for some Japanese dinner. She ordered a Nabeyaki Udon, while I, as per usual, Tempura Soba. It's like I can never have enough of Tempura Soba, haha.
Miss PF got me a belated birthday pressie. Pic taken from her phone with me refusing to be shot for fear of appearing like a mangled doll after having fought a horrendous two-hour highway battle.
L'occitane Touche Parfumee in Cherry Blossom I love the smell! Thanks, my fellow purple-loving friend. You is very good at knowing my taste. Better than Mr Tay! Hehehe!
Oh, I also have some cutesy stuff Sue bought for me from Perth. Wait till I snap pics of them next!
Dinner lasted till 10.30pm and guess what, on the way back, the road on the other side was still jammed from Sunway all the way to Bandar Utama. AT 10.30 FREAKIN' PM! My bro was stuck at the toll in Puchong for 1 hour. It was like, after he has paid the toll fee, he was still stuck there... for 1 hour.
Anyways, I love today! Coz it's Friday tomorrow! I am hunting down a yellow baby-t with the word 'Friday' emblazoned at the front of the tee. Me and Sue found Monday, Tuesday (i might get this, since i'm born on a Tuesday - Tuesday's Child as Miss PF fondly calls it), Wednesday, Saturday, etc BUT no Friday.
Wait till I get my hands on a 'Friday' and I vow to wear it to work every Friday It has to be in yellow, by the way. Yellow = chirpy happy-fying color :)
See, I wasn't exaggerating!
Richard says: last nite from 1utama to puchong i stuck in jam for 2 hours Richard says: terrible
