Parking hell at Pelangi Damansara
RM600 - six months in advance for covered car park
RM480 - six months in advance for UNcovered car park
Waiting period - six months
Six months till I get one parking spot of my own at my apartment! But, if I'm lucky, the management people will contact me if there's any tenant who wants to rent out their parking spots. I hope there's one! I can't wait to have one spot to myself. Mine mine mine!!!
This, has been the one thing I have been procrastinating since ice age. I guess I am just too sick and tired of coming home after a long day at work and late evenings after gym, only to come home circling around the area for a spot. And it's usually ILLEGAL. So you can imagine how many 'love notes' I have collected from PDRM eversince I've moved in. BUT, none for the recent month of May. I got lucky *muahahaha*
To roughly illustrate my frustrations each time I get home:

So you see the 2 long yellow lines? Those are illegal spots where residents have no choice but to park there because my place only allocate ONE parking spot per unit. The legal parking spots TWO roads across just aren't enough to accommodate. Worse still, the mamak vendors usually set up their tables and chairs on some of the parking lots. Me is pissed!
And I have lots to carry when I get home. Work bag, gym bag, shoe bag, and sometimes some shopping bags, so imagine me clutching all these while trying to cross those two very busy roads. It's hell. And what if it is raining?
So, ini dia, tempat tinggal saya di Pelangi Damansara. A proper parking spot inside will make it better. Till then, I persevere and wait. Just wait.

This afternoon for lunch, we (DT, his brother, and I) had this:

Stir-fried lotus roots, carrots, brocolli, cauliflower and mushrooms
(lotus roots, brocolli and cauliflower - remainder from last week, uncut, fresh from the fridge of course)

Honey-marinated chicken stew cooked in garlic and lots of onions in dark soy sauce

Ahhh... and lastly, a Chinese meal is never complete with a good warm soup for the soul. Here: White Carrot Soup boiled with red dates, meat bones, and oyster. Boiled with much love and care for TWO hours

There... another home-cooked meal for the week

Most human beings have an almost infinite capacity for taking things for granted - Aldous Huxley
Don't know why we never seem to have nice, proper and long MSN chats anymore.
Just because I often see you, doesn't mean we cannot have proper online conversations / discussions just like we used to.
Don't know why we don't have long chats on the phone anymore.
And don't know why you never comment anymore.
It doesn't bother. But it sure is disheartening.

This Morning I ...
~ woke up to nice-smelling new brown + cream colored bed sheets, new pillow cases, and mmmmm, new snuggly comforter. I love.
~ opened the wardrobe to see a bunch of sweet-smelling, nicely folded and stacked clothes I sent for laundry a couple of days back. I love too.
~ snoozed the alarm from 7.00 to 7.35. Was amusing myself by watching stupid reality show (The Bachelor) till late last night. A bunch of stupid women trying to win a man's heart. "I have feelings for him. I love him." Duhhh, you have only spent 2 weeks with him amongst the OTHER women, never really gotten the chance to get to know him personally and you have fallen in love with him?! Then they all get bitched up when that Firestone guy didn't choose any of them for 1-on-1 dates. Geez. But I still watch. Because I am a girl. I have my shallow and bimbo moments
~ wore a pink top with denim skirt, paired with a light purple dangling earrings. Girly pinky me *chuckles*
~ realized I haven't gotten any samans for the whole month of May! Yay! Told you May is always magical
~ had craving for thosai telur, but none can be found here.
~ decided to go for Kiara runs with Isaac. (when the stamina is back, that is)
~ wondered how is LadyLuthien doing in Holland. And why isn't she on YM.
~ thought why is Alex always so mean to me.
~ Gowri cracked me up with this:
Wife: Honey, what are you looking for?
Hubby: Nothing.
Wife: Nothing? You have been reading our marriage certificate for an hour.
Hubby: I was just looking for the expiry date.
~ ... missed him.
