Maybe it was The Orange Panty yesterday
... or the Yellow Top
... or the New Hair
... or all of the above?
Because according to color experts and also my mother, wearing bright colors (whether inside or outside) enhances your Qi and attracts good luck? Well I say, believe it only if you want to.
And rightly so, because I got it :)
A new role/position within the company, I start next week.
From these 2 ladies, on my Facebook wall, on my 27th:
"Happy happy happy birthday babes!! Welcome to the late 20s club, where life finally makes sense... and petty problems are a joke :) Have an awesome day *hugs*" Joanne A. Low
"Happy Birthday!!! Sorry this is late because I was on vacay all of Memorial Weekend. Much loves, and yes, I think JLow has already wished you appropriately, welcome to the late 20s. It's only going to get better from here! Muakz!" Gwendolynne Cross
Life is making some sense now and is definitely getting better from here. Thank you ladies, for making me believe :)

The Rather Peculiar Night
7:00pm Reached Opus, Bangsar 7:15 Placed orders.
Starter: Mixed Mushroom Surprise
Girl - Roasted cod fish in white wine sauce Boy - Baked chicken (supposed to be duck breast but they ran out of duck) with caramelized balsamic sauce, with angel hair pasta and sun dried tomatoes. A bottle of white wine.
7.40 Eat - take pics - eat. 8.05 Conversations somehow swayed towards the North Korean Prime Minister, Kim Jung-il, that he has a very hamsap face. The bf whipped out his N73 and googled it out to prove his point. Yes, he does look hamsap. 8.20 The boy attempted to lure the birthday girl for a karaoke session after dinner. 8.25 NO, says the girl. 8.27 Hmm, if you really want to get me to sing later, you'd better hope the wine does its magic. 8.28 OK DRINK UP!!! *continued pouring wine* 8.40 Why am I feeling so sleepy? Are you feeling sleepy, babe? 8.50 Any desserts? the Waiter asked. No, thank you and can we have the bill please? 9.05 Got home. Extremely sleepy! Removed make-up, contacts, put on oversized black tee which says "Fuck Milk Got Pot?" (courtesy of Jason C, NY) and collapsed onto bed. Did not shower. 9.08 Last image seen before sleep: the bf collapsed onto bed with his working attire still on and the room lights all still switched on. 2.30am Eyes shot up and found bf not in bed anymore. Found him tinkering away on the computer keyboard in the study room. Apparently, he was up since 12.30am. 3.00 The girl went online and replied somemore facebook birthday wishes. 3.30 Boy and girl had kokokrunch+milk. 4.00 Got into bed. Girl read P.S. I Love You, Boy read (some John Grisham book). 5.00 Lights off and slept. 7.30 Wretched alarm rang.
Like, seriously?! The white wine felt as though there were 1000 crushed sleeping pills in it. We have never encountered such extreme sleepiness before and to be sleeping by 9pm is totally absurd! That was one helluva white wine and in a way I hated it. I loved the taste and all but not the after effects. It really felt as though I've taken tons of sleeping pills and never had I felt so powerless in trying to keep the eyelids opened.
All in all, I had a really good time at dinner with David. The dinner, ambience, music (they put on Janice from Hong Kong who did cover versions of famous songs) and company were fabulous. My Opus roasted cod fish totally rocked and it put TSB's cod fish to extreme shame.
Another dinner either tonight or tomorrow, to celebrate 2 birthdays. Mine (albeit, expired) and Laena's.

It's my birthday today! I love birthdays, especially if it's my own birthday This year's new number has automatically moved me into a new age range - late 20s. I was groaning to Sue the other day, "Hey, I'm gonna be in the late 20s now!" and she did the biggest rolled eye action and exclaimed, "OHHH, SHUT UP!" Hehehehee... This just came in minutes ago on MSN with Grace. Notice the 'yorrr' tease? It's like saying, 'aiyohhh, you so old already.' ~graceux5~ says: yorrr you 27 yrs old dy angie says: thank you very much for reminding me how ancient i am!
Anyways, on Saturday morning, we went for a dimsum brunch in PJ with my mom and dad. My mom gave me an angpau ok, hehehe! Then, David and I head on to KLCC to check out the sales there. Isetan was and still is having its sale but I secured the whole Isetan parameter that day and there was nothing much that I really liked or wanted. Upon arrival, the Clueless Bf Who Doesn't Know What To Get The Gf, told me to grab 3 things that I fancy in Isetan and that will be my birthday present from him. I was like, in Isetan??? Fine, so I told him to buzz off so that I can have my Alone Moment to concentrate He went to Kinokuniya while I was left on Shopping Mode. It was more like a Browsing Mode for me coz there really wasn't much that I like there! Checked out Eclipse and found nothing new. (coz I am always checking out the stuff at the One Utama's branch!) Then, I found my First Item which was a Black Bag. Second Item, ok, I want to talk more about my second item. Initially, I wanted to check out Escada's Moonsparkle since I heard so much hype about it. Took a sample and ohmygod, it was extremely intoxicatingly sweet. Just like candy! Now, I don't quite fancy really sweet perfume, so nah, I passed it up and checked out my most favorite perfume bottle design, Vera Wang's Princess. So pretty right! I love the purple-colored liquid inside, love the shape of the bottle and love most the crown cover at the top! But alas, it was really sweet too. Just like candy again. I was crestfallen for awhile until i spotted the pink bottle of Princess. A limited edition called Vera Wang Princess Flower, took a whiff and I was sold! At that time, the bf was already called over for assistance. He loved it too! So, we took this plus the Sales Assistant was really nice. Usually you'll get a miniature of the perfume you're purchasing, but I not only got a miniature Princess Flower, (the exact bottle but in a mini 50 cent size form, so cute! good for travelling purposes) she threw in a Ferragamo Shine mini, a Vera Wang Princess (candy) mini, and a Vera Wang For Men mini in the goodie bag too. Ahhh... I am a satisfied customer. Princess Flower. Albeit not as pretty as the original bottle, I love it still. In fact, I'm already wearing it today, on my birthday and I can't stop sniffing myself As for the Third Item, I couldn't possibly find another item that I really liked in Isetan. Well, actually I spotted this bracelet from Folli Follie which was gorgeous but it came with a hefty price tag too so nah, I skipped it. I care for Mr Tay's wallet too you know So, as for the Third Item, I have a list of books that I wanted to get so this was the right moment to execute the list! Spent quite a bit of time with David in Kinokuniya and finally settled on 3 books. I can't wait to start on The Time Traveler's Wife! I'm almost done with P.S. I Love You, lovely lovely book. Anyways, Jo-anne C. texted me this morning asking whether The Boy had delivered well for my birthday. I replied, "It was actually ok, but bleurghhh!" Bleurghhh because I really wanted a surprise gift? But then again, I got 3 items that I actually wanted and liked so hey, I shouldn't be complaining right??? It was kind of a good arrangement - he doesn't crack his head and I get what I want. BUT, having said that, I hope he cracks his head further for next year! Anyway, out for lunch yesterday: A bright yellow tiered chiffon top which I would not be caught dead wearing maybe 1 year ago, with black skinny jeans. a nice fat hug for everyone today!

Found some dresses while cleaning up the wardrobe. Pics were taken yesterday. *1* Yellow chiffon dress, EclipseThe yellow is actually brighter in real life. Very yellow, in fact. Have not worn before Oooo, I like my Black Onyx nails *2*Cheap black dress from BangsarWorn once Backview of the dress Frontview Ribcage galore *3*Champagne gold dress, EclipseWorn this for David's 30th birthday I was quite upset that I saw this in Eclipse, KLCC in PURPLE!
I bought this dress in Eclipse, One Utama and they didn't have purple at that time, so I didn't know there was a purple!
Very upsetting coz I'd choose purple over champagne gold anytime!
Anyways, when I wore it to his party, David said it looked loose and suggested that I alter it to make it tighter.
Well, I am just too lazy so I tried it on with a belt. Instant fix, yay! TSB's flooring during David's birthday

Indiana Jones 4 ---> flop
It's Friday night and for dinner, we had Korean BBQ at SS2 with Andy+Sue and then head on to One U to try our luck in getting tickets for Indy Jones 4 at 10.15pm. Managed to get good seats, row C :)
Words to describe the show:
- doesn't jive with the original indy jones traditional theme - screwed up storyline - crystal skull looks cheap, maybe plastic, says the boy - disappointing
Very disappointing for me as I was very much looking forward to catch this. The first 3 instalments were still the bomb.
OH OH, DID YOU STAY BACK TOWARDS THE END FOR IRONMAN? The part where the credits were rolling up? I bet most of you didn't, hehe. For those who have not catch Ironman, just stay on for a little surprise

As you can probably tell, I am extremely free today, having to blog for about 3 times in a row now! I just found out there is a person by the name of Kennis in the office. Kennis Hoo. Hehehehee, I am sorry as I don't mean to be rude. I just find it amusing. Kinda like names like, Bartholomew Chan or Maximilian Ong, which is fine coz those are English names. It is names like these which I can't stand: Stone Ng (this is a guy from Singapore, a friend of David or was it Gary's, can't remember),
Balthazar Chong
Takey Lim
Novel Ho
Shine Wang
and many many more. you can actually spot these funny names when they hold the next Miss Malaysia or Miss Chinese International Malaysia. never fails to amuse me. hehehehe!
Why Chinese must not have English names blue = funny for me
Anne Chang (Mandarin)- Dirty Anne Chin (Mandarin) - Keep quiet Faye Chen (Mandarin) - Dusty Carl Cheng (Hokkien) - Buttock Monica Cheng (Hokkien) - Touching your buttocks Lucy Leow (Hokkien) - You are dead Jane Tan (Mandarin) - Frying eggs Suzie Leow (Hokkien) - Lost till death Henry Mah (Mandarin) - Hate your mum Corrine Tai (Hokkien) - Poor fellow Paul Chan (Mandarin) - Bankrupt Nelson Tan (Mandarin) - Bird laying eggs Leslie Tong (Mandarin) - Rubbish bin Carmen Teng (Hokkien) - Leg hair long Connie Mah (Mandarin) - Call your mother Danny See (Hokkien) - Squeeze you to death Rosie Teng (Hokkien) - Screws and nails Pete Tsai (Hokkien) - Nose droppings Macy Koh (Cantonese) - Never die before
Michael Tan (Cantonese) - sell chickeneggs
We have a friend whose surname is Chen and he plans to name his future daughter, Kit ---> Kit Chen (get it?)
David aka Mr Tay has this stupid idea of wanting to name his future daughter, Sa ---> Sa Tay

Short nails with bright colors are in rage now y'all. They are sexy, funky and definitely eye-catching. Check Belinda's yellow nails on the cover of Female, May issue. I got mine trimmed shorter (just for fingernails) and had them painted in OPI Black Onyx on both fingernails and toenails. Very glam, I LOVE IT. And will probably go ahead and buy a bottle and color myself to save on mani-pedi costs! I said, probably, because I'm not that good at painting my own nails! Anyways, me thinks long fingernails kinda look auntie to me now. short dark-colored nails
  the Jessicas Mischa
Lauren Eva Jessica again Will go for Opi's "Lincoln Park After Dark" on fingernails the next round. Tagged as, 'where midnight meets purple', I love this color on toes and have used this many times. Will try it on fingers next.
