Friday
So many movies, so little time

Tonite, Sue, Corinne and I are watching Definitely, Maybe (again, for me that is) Heeeee...

Today, Sue and I went to Uptown for lunch and... DVD-hunting!

We have planned to do a Romantic Comedy Movie Marathon Weekend. Only chick flicks allowed or rather, love-themed movies. Topped with homemade pasta meal with lots of junk food and *hic* booze. I figure we could do Mr Tay's huge alcohol collection a little favor by doing a little consumption. They have been sitting in the kitchen pantry for farrrrrrrrr too long Tongue

Initial DVDs wanted:

Gone Baby Gone
P.S. I Love You
La vie en rose
The Holiday
Paris Je'taime
27 Dresses
Feast of Love
Only You
The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (i really wanted this!)

But they only have these - buy 5 free 1:

No Reservations
27 Dresses
In Her Shoes
Feast of Love (thanks PF babe for the recommendation)
Gone Baby Gone
The Holiday

(and many more - will check from Mr Tay's HUGE DVD collection)

Well, technically, Gone Baby Gone isn't a boy-girl romantic movie, but I've heard raving reviews about it, so, grabbed it! Big Smile

This is Sue taken from her recent Cambodia trip.

Nice cap right! We got it from a little shop in One Utama.

These are nice pics, girl Wink

Single guys who want her contacts, let me know. I'm officially her dating agent. I get commissions for every approved guy. Hahhaha! Kidding!

Ok, this is not Sue.
It's just a look I like so much of Lauren Conrad.
Black nails, casual scrunched up hair, necklace, loose white top, skinny jeans and a nice casual bag.

Definitely, Maybe

So last night Grace, Joanne and I caught Definitely, Maybe at the cinema. We loved it :) Extremely heartwarming, witty lines, fantastic casts (maybe except for the role of Emily, she's a bit dull in my opinion). You have just gotta love Ryan Reynolds - tall and handsome and bloody witty as hell. The girls weren't bad too, with Summer and April, both extremely intelligent women, both fell in love with Ryan a.k.a Will Hayes, who aspires to be the next U.S. President.

Photobucket

My favorite girl has got to be April played by Isla Fisher, who coincidently has been casted to play Rebecca Bloomwood from the Shopaholic series. Excited?! I AM!!! Now, I just got to find out who's playing Luke Brandon. My perfect choice would be Michael Vartan (Sidney Bristow's bf in ALIAS) Smile

And and and! They were showing previews of Sex and The City already!!! I CAN'T WAIT. Ahhhh.. Carrie Bradshaw's wedding gown, very pretty.

Gosh, see how I went from Definitely, Maybe to probable casts of the Shopaholic series and to Sex and The City? Very excited, I am.

Anyways, as I was saying I love April. And then you have Maya, Will Hayes' daughter played by the evercute Abigail Breslin. She's FANTASTIC. I couldn't help but gushed like a million times outloud, "I love her!" throughout the entire movie. I hope my future daughter will be as witty, naughty, and smart as her. AND COINCIDENTLY, 1 year ago, I told mr tay that I would like to name my future daughter, Maia (also pronounced as Maya). Got the name from The 4400 (those who followed this series would know who Maia was Wink)

Ok, got side-tracked to naming babies now. Anyway, it was an extremely heartwarming movie. I wouldn't mind catching it at the cinemas again. I'm not going to do spoilers here but I just wanna say that I love the entire process of how Will Hayes' and April got together. Makes me wish I had that kinda relationship, like maybe once in my lifetime. Oh well...

Go catch Definitely, Maybe. Good laughs, sexy lines, extremely briliant scriptwriter and Maya! There's also Rachel Weisz, who is flat out fun, sexy and charismatic and then you also have Kevin Klein who was brilliant as a uni professor who sleeps with sophomores. Jomel, please go watch it. I know you'd love it coz I know what a hopeless romantic you are :)

Sorry, I'm just not that good at doing movie reviews ok. I get extremely excited and I just type whatever that comes to mind. So, pardon the very 'professional flair' in this movie review post.

Favorite quote from the movie:

The happy ending was... you.

Modified Dresses

I got a pile of dresses from my cousin lately. Quite vintage they are, coz the cousin prolly has kept them for like over 10 years. The patterns are with flowers! Which is something I usually shy away from and the cutting, omg, put me off the moment I saw them. There are sleeveless, LONG, as in touching way past the knee-length and to make it worse, they flare at the bottom. So, I wasn't too keen to keep them.

Suddenly, I had a sudden lightbulb moment. My mom and I sent them over to the tailor to have them shorten and hey, now they looked damn cute. There are 4 of them, which 3 are splattered all over with flower motifs - 1 dark blue which, I am wearing today, 1 dark-based with bright blue flowers and 1 dark-based color with GREEN flowers all over them. I call the last dress my Amazon dress, as in Amazon Jungle? Hahaha. The moment I tried on the before-altered green dress, I stood infront of my mom and exclaimed, "Mi! I am a forest!" Hahahaha!

But, thank gawd, after alterations, they look mighty cute. Today's dress worn over light black stockings with a red belt and a pearl necklace. Sorry, photo quality is quite bad as they were taken from my phone.

I guess, these flowered dresses ain't that bad, afterall, it's SPRING/SUMMER now! They came right on time, I'd say Wink

Monday
What Choice Do I Have?

I just got back from the gym and am currently slurping Maggi Mee Perisa Ayam for dinner. Springy noodles with yellow soup cooked with 2 eggs. 1 egg smashed and stirred around the pot, while being careful with the other - not to break it to retain the yolk. I like to slurp in a medium-cooked yolk sometimes.

Anyways, you must think I am enjoying my instant noodles. WRONG. Maggi Mee Perisa Ayam sucks big time. It tastes like crap. Don't even recall who stocked this flavor in the kitchen pantry anyway. We ran out of the usual favorite - Maggi Mee Kari Meletup, hence the Ayam flavor. All thanks to the Dinner Partner who did not even have the courtesy to inform me that he will be going for futsal or at least remind me to pack my dinner back from gym later.

I mean, I was under the impression that he wasn't going for futsal since I took his car. So, after BodyPump, I skipped RPM which was supposed to be at 7.30 to rush home, just so we could go out for dinner. But, hey, I got home to find Dinner Partner out and a quick phone call confirmed it all. Such an ass, right?

And hence, the forced-in dinner of Maggi Mee Perisa Ayam. Yucks. I am NEVER ever eating Maggi Mee Perisa Ayam again. Ever.

Anyway, I'm not really mad at him. Just got slightly ticked off and anyway, life's too short to stay pissed at someone over small matters, right? I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS, MY DINNER-PARTNER-BY-DEFAULT! I hope you have Crappy x100 Dinner later. Hmmph.

Oh, I've been naughty. Truth to be known, when I am bored with something, I do naughty things. For instance, my job. I have been very extremely bored with what I've been doing for the past 1+ year and it is reaching to point of me not being bothered anymore. Like, I have unread emails which I do not even bother reading. Emails that has ASAP! or Urgent! which, from this 1+ year of experience earned me the right to distinguish between a real ASAP! and a fake ASAP! To which, out of 10 - only 1 is real. This is also what I would like to call it as The Act of Denial. If I don't see the request, I don't have to work on it :) Such a bad employee, I am. The thing is, I don't see what is the rush where no one is gonna die if I respond slighly slower. No one's gonna lose millions if I work on it later. So, what the heck?

Another thing is, I've been leaving work much earlier than I should these days. I just need to get out of that place, you know? I need AIR. I need to feel like I am not restricted to the Desk every weekday from 9am - 5.30pm. It's really killing me within, I kid you not. And just like PF, we're ever ready to abandon ship. I just want to do something I enjoy for once, you know what I'm saying? It's like, enough of IT already. Enough of Servers, System x, System p, Network Storage, Lotus and that bloody Newsletter. I will not want anything to do with creating another freaking Newsletter in my next job. It's depressing!

You know how I hate brands like Gucci, Prada and Coach - overated and overcharged pieces of crap which every sally, susan and jane is carrying which by the way, even if you're carrying a real Prada, people will still be doubtful whether the little metal triangle is real? Yeah, so I've applied to this position at Gucci as well.

I am really THAT desperate. Ok, writing about this is getting a wee bit depressing. Especially after an extremely crappy dinner of Maggi Mee Perisa Ayam. Gonna go hit the showers now and continue to embrace my bimbo self by watching The Hills Season 3 :)

I missed Ozzy. We survived the weekend. She didn't die on me.

The Stock Market and Exchanges

A stock market is a private or public market for the trading of company stock and derivatives of company stock at an agreed price; both of these are securities listed on a stock exchange as well as those only traded privately. The expression 'stock market' refers to the market that enables the trading of company stocks (collective shares), other securities, and derivatives. Bonds are still traditionally traded in an informal, over-the-counter market known as the bond market. Commodities are traded in commodities markets, and derivatives are traded in a variety of markets (but, like bonds, mostly 'over-the-counter'). If you're interested to read more on the stock market, head over here to find out more.

The Little Peeing Machine

1 day with Ozzy and I realised that I am definitely not ready to become a mother. As in, a mother to a real human child.

She pees like almost every 30 min. At least that was when I was supervising her, at least a good 5 times. It's like the moment I clear up her mess, there she goes, 2 legs bent down, in a squating manner, and happily pee-ing away. It was almost like, she enjoys seeing me clear up her mess and exclaim, "Not again Ozzy!!!"

But she's a joy to be with. Always curious with her surroundings. Sniffing this sniffing that, tugging at the carpet sides, running amok around the house and terbabas once in awhile. Ok, the terbabas part is damn cute. She'd be happily running and at some point she'd lose control, skid and her whole body would just crash sideways. David and I always laugh whenever we see her do that.

She whimpers a lot though when placed inside her pen. She's always wanting to come out which I tend to limit her coz she pees very frequently. Won't want her to pee on our carpets and couch now, would we?

David was the first person she saw this morning as I was still busy doing my make-up in the bathroom. "She sure is a morning person! The moment she saw me, her tail starts wagging non-stop."

Hahhh... just made me smile when he told me that in the car. I guess it's nice to also see the boyfriend show his softy side a bit as opposed to his perpetual macho I'm-a-Man-Hear-Me-Roar facade.

So yeah, no. Definitely no babies for me for at least another 3 years. And besides, I heard a baby who is born when the mother is over the age of 30 has better IQ? Smile

Ozzy!

She likes to lick human ears, I dunno why. And she loves the red beanbag! Once she sits on it, she is very reluctant to get up to chase the ball, or play with you. Unless, when I open up my palm to reveal little bits of doggie biscuits, and only then will she come charging forward to lick my hand clean.

Such a greedy little girl, she is. I like! She also knows how to merajuk already. When she was playing nicely with us, and when Alex placed her back into her pen, she'd just sit still on the pillow and refused to play or acknowledge you. Hahahaha! I see a Drama Queen in the making! Basically she just loves company, so it's not easy having to leave her all alone while I go to work on Friday. Sigh.

Affordable used car

Planning to get a new car but can't really afford one? There are a number of web sites that provide information on second hand cars, but mostly do not have substantial information. Only a few of them actually provide good quality service to the customers, and if you are searching for one, why not stop by at BuyYourCar.co.uk and look into their used cars section.

Buyyourcar.co.uk provides you a list of the various second hand cars available for sale along with detailed descriptions attached to each of them. The striking aspect is that all the second hand cars available through this service are of very high quality. The site helps you search for a second hand car easily after specifying the model and the make. The search can also be refined by specifying the price, distance and the seller type. A list of most popular used cars helps you to know which car is best for purchase.

By working very closely with Franchised Dealers and Car Brokers all across the U.K., BuyYourCar is able to get the lowest discounts necessary for them to be able to offer you the very best new car lease prices to be found on the Internet.

Once you've made your selection, any one of the dealerships listed on BuyYourCar has agreed to deliver your newly leased vehicle right to your front door, free of charge. For more information visit buyyourcar.co.uk
