So, I'm back. And much earlier too since the workshop ended earlier than expected.
"I would like to change my ticket to your next earliest flight out to KL." "Ok, 8pm? SIA. It's a middle seat though." "OK! MIDDLE SEAT NEVERMIND!" Time was 7.30pm, so rushed through customs, etc. Guess what? My little scissors used for trimming eyebrows was 'confiscated'. But NOT my Eyebrow Tweezers, Blackhead Remover tool and Eyelash Curler Byebye little scissors because I KNOW I won't be that rajin to walk all the way and go claim it back upon arrival. Bleh. Funny how my little scissors got thru all the custom checkpoints in all my previous trips.

Will be going to Batu Pahat with Mr Tay to attend a wedding this weekend. I can't wait for weekend because I get to rest and do absolutely nothing!
+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+
AND I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH PAN'S LABYRINTH! MR TAY YOU HEAR ME?!
+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+
I can't help but KIV-ing I-Would-Like-to-Have items, furnitures, lights, shower heads, toilet sinks, etc whenever and wherever I see them. For example, at the Changi Hotel - the RainShower, the shape of the toilet sink and the faucet. Mr Tay said I am on a perpetual ID High. ID = Interior Design He'd go, "Come let's take you to IKEA and get you somemore ID High." Hehehhehehe, he's such a dear =P
+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+
Ok, this is a little bit personal but what the heck. Mr Tay and I have been getting on really really swell for the past couple of months. No minor hiccups like we used to have last time and I guess for 1 yr and a half, if we still don't get what works and don't work for the both of us, it's Trouble Yesterday, when I got back from the airport and after taking a good shower, I walked into the living hall where Mr Tay was watching tv. Mr Tay raised his both hands up wide open and said, "Come here." And I got HUGGED
And at that moment I felt life was actually getting so much better for me now. It's not perfect yet, but I'm getting there.
*** Ok, I know I owe you a meme, Pink Elle. Next post!
Travelling alone is fun. I'm at Singapore right now and had a whole day checking out IBM Singapore and meeting up some people there who were supposed to brief me on my new role. Thanks to Judy and Yee Nam who have been such great hosts! Their office has been 7 yrs old as compared to our IBM Malaysia which is only less than a year, but hey, it still looks new to me.
I don't have the time to window shop or shop this time around as I am stuck in Changi The workshop tomorrow is at Changi Village Hotel *click* which is the same hotel I'm staying in. Workshop is from 9am - 6pm oh woe ~ More reasons to check into Changi Village: IBM SG is in CHANGI
I was supposed to meet up with a highschool friend of mine, Soo Chin who is currently working in Singapore but I got off late from the office just now and my body just felt so battered up with all the waking up so early for the whole past 2 weeks. So I went to get myself a facial + massage in the hotel with a 20% discount. Syiokness
Went back to my room and ordered Penne Seafood Marinara and the prawns were the CRUNCHIEST that I've ever tasted. Wonder how do they do it? Blanch it first?
Took a LONGGGGG shower. I have always been a fan of the RAINSHOWER shower system. To my delight, the hotel has it! So I just stood below it for which seemed like forever with the warm WARM water raining all over me. Utter bliss ~ (seriously considering installing a Rainshower in my new place)
One of men's smarter inventions
Watched a little of Home Alone 2 (again!) while doing some work for the Aussies and now Flight Plan is on tv and I am watching it (again!) You know, I think the cab driver tipu-ed me. From hotel to IBM Sg = $6.60 From IBM Sg to hotel = $16.20!!!
I hope tomorrow will be a smooth day. I am actually a little nervous.
Boy: Want you to knowww, you make me happy. Want you to knowww, you make me happy.... Girl: HUH? Why so cute suddenly?! Boy: Want you to knowww, you make me happy. La la la laaaa... Girl: ??? Boy: The new Sony Ericsson ad lah. It goes like this, "Want you to knowww, you make me happyyyy." Girl: Ohhh... the couple celebrating anniversary under the moon one.
Then he got me infected. Me "Want you to knowww, you make me happyyy." non-stop. And I'd sing louder in sync with the ad when it is playing, much to Mr Tay's amusement. The only difference is, my version is sung ever so cutely, imitating a 3yr old's voice. *Heeeeee*
We had planned on a McD's lunch for today since last week. Seems like everyone has these vouchers where you buy a large set, you are entitled to a free burger or nuggets, or McDippers, or sundae or apple pie. Pretty good deal, so ok, McD's it is.
Then, at 11.58pm, in pranced Sui Lin gaily asking everyone what was for lunch today. Everyone yelled, McD's! Guess how Sui Lin reacted?
Sui Lin: OH NOOOOOOO. No thanks. I just watched Super Size Me last week and I just cannot stomach McD's now. Everyone: What's this Super Size Me??? Sui Lin: Oh, just some lab test demonstrating different types of food being left out around to see how fast they get moldy or how soon maggots start feasting on them. McD's fries was one of it and guess what? Even after 2 weeks, the fries were still untouched and remained the same. This proves to show that McD's fries are not REAL FOOD. Ta-da.
Everyone looked at each other.
Joyce: Ok, let's go. Me: Sui Lin, I tapau for you one Large Fries!
Hahahahahahha!
While seated at McD's devouring our burgers AND FRIES, we were discussing about Sui Lin's Super Size Me video. Joyce: You know, if you want to block fries out of your diet, you must as well throw away your microwave oven because, anything that goes into it comes out a different thing. The molecule structure of the food changes and sometimes are not recognizable by our bodies therefore they are turned into toxins.
Joyce went on explaining about this experiment:
2 potted plants - A and B 1 normal tap water 1 boiled water in the microwave oven, left to cool down to room temperature
Pour normal tap water on potted plant A. Pour boiled water from microwave oven on potted plant B. Repeat this for 1 week. Results: Plant A grows and thrives while Plant B wilts away.
Just the other day, I received this email:
WRONG METHOD(X) Normally, when we cook the instant noodles, we normally put the noodles into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for around 3 mins and then ready to eat.
This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles. By doing this, we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG. This will change the molecular structures of the MSG causing it to be toxic.
The other thing that you may not realized is that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles.
CORRECT METHOD The CORRECT method, which you should know is to cook the noodles this way:-
1. Boil the noodles in a pot with water. 2. Once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles and throw away the water which contains wax. 3. Boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire. 4. Only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle soup. 5. However, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles n add the ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles.

The strangest thing happened to me this morning. And I am sure most of you probably would have gone through it.
Last night, before hitting the sack I have already picked up the clothes for tomorrow's work. A white collared top paired with either pants / skirt.
So there I was in the morning, all chirpy (but sleepy!), slathering on my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, my eyes caught sight of the white top. Done with the face, washed my hands and picked up the white top to inspect it. "Hmm looks kinda crumpled. Do I have enough time to iron it? Yeah, probably later."
I, then went on to comb my hair, plucked some eyebrows, winced at the milia seeds at the bottom of my eyes and having done all that, I decided to grab the white top for a quick ironning. And, guess what?
I T ' S M I S S I N G!
I searched the WHOLE room, gave the bed comforter a good big flap to be certain the top wasn't trap under it, checked the drawers and wardrobe, and I even looked under the bed.
G O N E hilanggg
I swear I DID NOT even step out of the room. So it has to be still INSIDE the room I am just so frustrated. Wasted 30 min just ransacking the whole room and still have not found it. Mr Tay even helped to search but to no avail. "You know, when you find it later, you're going to slap yourself silly." "Cannot be la! Searched the whole damn room and I did not even stepped out of the room! Which pixie or imp took it! So early got hantu is it!"
Just too bizarre for my liking for a Thursday morning. Anything like this ever happened to you ladies???
So, I'm in a green top now. And Mr Tay the Copycat decided to be funny so he wore green too.
I have been very sick over the weekend. And honestly, I've never been this sick for the longest time. So sick that even my mom had to bathe me. And she had not done so in 18 years Shame shame, says Mr Tay.
This morning, while she was cooking 'meen sin soup' for me, I lifted up my top and...
Me: Mi, see... my tummy so flat *poke poke at tummy* Mi: So, happy la? Me: *happy*
I'm getting stronger and better. And I miss Mr Tay.
I couldn't reply to all 3 of your comments below due to some technical error, so here goes la!
1st comment: Yes, damn him!
2nd comment: Yes, I know you and him were looking for a place and really liked one of the units, I'd say "Go for it Jomel!"
Gosh, I've been toying with the idea of engaging an ID too but I'm on a budget to get everything I need for the place so, ID idea has to be scraped off You got ID friends who wanna do some charity work? Hahahha!
Induction hobs are cool right! No more icky sticky oily residue just like how they stick on the conventional stoves. Mr Tay said they don't come cheap though.
Yay, hi 5! White kitchen is the way to go la! Not hard to clean Jomel, I know coz Mr Tay's kitchen cabinet is white too and he has been staying there for 3 years. Though occasionally having someone (i.e. Me the Maid) to wipe and clean helps maintain its whiteness la
Yes, you have the big sista and cute little FeiMui so, you'd be utilizing the kitchen more without a maid. Eh, why not hire a maid for a twice a month home cleaning? I'm planning to do that. It's only about RM60 - 80 for a twice-a-week per month cleaning. It is really good enough, coz the place I'm staying at currently, she comes every Tues, sweep + mop, scrub the toilet, kitchen cabinet, take out the trash, dust the shelves, etc. Would certainly lighten your load having two kids around
IKEA! Yes! Eh don't go first. Mr Tay said to wait for the August big sale. Apparently, Ikea's biggest sale happens every Aug of the year. Eh if you bump into me, can you recognize me? Coz I surely can recognize you and little feimui!
3rd comment: Eeeeeeee.... same name as Mr Tay! No wonder you refer to him as "D". At first I thought D = Darling Did you know Mr Tay used to be in IBM? Perhaps Your D knows My D and vice versa! Hehe.

This card, is for frequent shoppers in One Utama. If you're there like a few times in a week, this card is for you! Ms FashionAsia, I know you go there all the time, have you gotten this card? This card not only acts like your Bonuslink card - collecting points as you purchase and obtain discounts at certain outlets, IT ALSO ACTS LIKE A TOUCH 'N' GO CARD! Minus the 10% charge that Touch 'N' Go charges and the points collected can be used to redeem items at favorite participating OneCard outlets.
I love this feature so so much. All you have to do is after obtaining this card, go to the service counter situated at the New Wing, and have your card reloaded. And then, you're good to go, tagging in and out of One Utama without having to pay at the yellow machines anymore. And oh, if you're like me who loves to park at the Preferred Parking area during weekends and peak hours, ONLY OneCard users get to park in there now. Ain't that great?! There are sooooooo many empty spaces available now as not many people have taken the trouble to apply for their OneCards. So, get your OneCard today, it's only at a minimal fee of RM10.
Lunch at Chuai Heng Restaurant @ 1 Utama, Old Wing was good! All dimsum is at a cool 50% off! So imagine if your bill comes to about RM50, you only pay RM25. Good deal I'd say! Apparently according to Joyce, this promo has been going on for awhile now BUT 50% is only applicable during lunch time on weekdays. So, I was thinking of bringing my parents here for dinner, but tak jadi lah then.
Anyways, these days we're busy with BF SearchingForSue At least, I am - since I am the most sibuk and 'pat' one. So, on the way to the restaurant just now, we spotted this very good looking guy boarding the same employee elevator as us. I saw him and kept quiet. My brain went into a frenzy mode: "Gosh, so lengchai! Perfect for Sue lah! But doesn't look like an IBM employee, no tag." I gave Sue the 'knowing look'. She just smiled. That woman and I has this wavelength that is so tremendously in-tuned that even when I fart, she knows.
As we got off the elevator, I looked at her, she looked at me. "Lengchai right!!!" "Yeah he is. Looks like the good good boy type." "Yeah! Kuai kuai face. Ngam la for you! But I don't think he's an IBM staff. Didn't see him wearing a tag." "Yeah, I thought so too! Wah you so fast, scanned everything!" "Ah but then! My eyes never miss a good looking guy." *shows schmuck face*
Anyways, go eat dimsum at Chuai Heng Restaurant @ 1 Utama lah. The 50% promo is good. The dim sum even better, the prawns are so so fresh.
As we got out of the restaurant,
Angie: The leng chai not in sight already Sue: Yeah I checked too Sue Angie: Bwahahahhahaha!
Things are picking up nicely now. I now have a little place to call my own. And it is exactly 3 floors below Mr Tay's.
Girl: Hey, in a couple of months time, we're gonna be neighbours! Aren't you excited! Boy: Oh. Joy. Girl: I can, "Ding-dong, ding-dong, can I borrow some sugar please?" Boy: Oh. Yay. Girl: Oh oh, I can also, "Ding-dong, ding-dong, there're monsters underneath my bed. I sleep here tonight."
ha ha ha!
So many things to buy! So many furnitures to look at. I hear IKEA. IKEA ---> church choir goes "Saleeeeeeeee" IKEA ---> church choir goes "Saleeeeeeeee" Don't know what I'm harping on, refer to radio ad on the Ikea Sale.
Sofa set, tv cabinet, that huge-ass refrigerator. Do up the kitchen a bit. I've been wanting to have stoves like this!
Induction hobs
No Yes
I love white kitchens
Mr Tay said I should be more practical in my decisions. If I am not going to be cooking much at home, then kitchen renovation can wait. Ok, so, my clothes, shoes and bags cannot wait.
So first on the priority list now is: A Built-in Wardrobe.
My head says a built-in but my heart wants a walk-in. Oh woe.
