I went to the gym this morning.
It was one of the rare moments where I could summon enough motivation to drag myself up at 6am.
As usual, the morning crowd is a bit sucky and boring. Mostly uncles and aunties who are trying to get some exercise while the kids are away at school. It's funny to hear conversations ranging from, "Hey I like your Nike top. How much was it?" (in the evenings) to "My second son ahh, so nottilah, refuse to sleep and eat when I asked him to." (yes, only in the mornings).
So I ran this morning. Made me wonder where did all the stamina disappear to. I could easily run 50 min on alternate days basis last time. Till I stopped and started doing RPM and other classes. *shrugs* I WANT MY STAMINA BACK!
Anyway, in the ladies, I spotted a pair of very nice white sandals. See, I have a great fetish for white shoes. Well actually, I like anything in white la. White boyzies too *chuckles* So yea, I love white shoes. And I caught myself keep darting my glances from my locker to the pair of white sandals that were just sitting and looking so pretty on the floor. I kept pretending to search for something in my locker, hoping she'd get her stuff and leave to do her workout and whatnot.
See, I wanted to snap some pictures of it to show them lovelies to you guys She was taking a long time, chit-chatting on the phone, etc. So I went to dry my hair and did my make-up. Armed with my 6111, with the camera mode on, I walked gleefully towards them gorgeous sandals.
*gasp*
Pretty white sandals ... gone
Nevermind, coz I'll summon enough motivation to get up on another rare morning to stalk those pretty white sandals again.
*** Corinne's Like a Star is so addictive.

Corinne Bailey Rae * Just Like a Star
Just like a star across my sky, Just like an angel off the page, You have appeared to my life, Feel like I'll never be the same, Just like a song in my heart, Just like oil on my hands, Oh.. I do love you,
Still i wonder why it is, I don't argue like this, With anyone but you, We do it all the time, Blowing out my mind,
You've got this look i can't describe, You make me feel like I'm alive, When everything else is a fade, Without a doubt you're on my side, Heaven has been away too long, Can't find the words to write this song, Oh.,.. Your love,
Still i wonder why it is, I don't argue like this, With anyone but you, We do it all the time, Blowing out my mind,
I have come to understand, The way it is, It's not a secret anymore, 'cause we've been through that before, From tonight I know that you're the only one, I've been confused and in the dark, Now I understand,
I wonder why it is, I don't argue like this, With anyone but you, I wonder why it is, I wont let my guard down, For anyone but you We do it all the time, Blowing out my mind,
Just like a star across my sky, Just like an angel off the page, You have appeared to my life, Feel like I'll never be the same, Just like a song in my heart, Just like oil on my hands

frenzyskye: jo, you think after we heard all these stories, witnessed how everything so beautiful turned so ugly, do you think one day if it happens to us, would we be able to stand up to it and face it?
Lady Luthien: i think our stories are pretty ugly too you know
Ugly indeed. Listening to this song gets me feeling all so sentimental-ish. Memories from the past evoked within me. I got sad, teary-eyed a bit. The very act of betrayal was too much to bear. Even up till now. Still could feel the feeling of a very giving and naive heart crushed back then. How the many shattered pieces of a broken heart poked and prodded deep within.
I am happy now, no doubt about it. Very thankful for that too. Blissful indeed. Though the paranoid being within me just couldn't help but wonder, what if IT happens again, will I be able to stand up stong and face it all with that been-there-done-that kinda attitude.
Or will I just ... die once more...

Corinne Bailey Rae * Put Your Records On
I love this song
Corinne Bailey Rae rawks!

Three little birds, sat on my window. And they told me I don't need to worry. Summer came like cinnamon So sweet, Little girls double-dutch on the concrete.
Maybe sometimes, we got it wrong, but it's alright The more things seem to change, the more they stay the same Oh, don't you hesitate.
Go, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down.
You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.
Blue as the sky, sombre and lonely, Sipping tea in the bar by the road side, (just relax, just relax) Don't you let those other boys fool you, Gotta love that afro hairdo.
Maybe sometimes, we feel afraid, but it's alright The more you stay the same, the more they seem to change. Don't you think it's strange?
Go, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down.
You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.
Just more than I could take, pity for pity's sake Some nights kept me awake, I thought that I was stronger When you gonna realise, that you don't even have to try any longer. Do what you want to.
Go, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down.
Go, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down.
Oh, You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow

This is a project. My project. Or rather, our project.
A project that fate brought and fused together. This project took awhile to discover. A little more time to familiarize. And a great mix of many key ingredients that help made this project a wonderful journey to begin with.
A project of six months and still counting. Six months.
Six months of smiles, love, care and friendship. Six beeeaaauuuutiful months of rainbows to tell.
And I tell it now.
These wonderful six months was shared between AL and AL's Object of Affection (AOOA). AOOA has been a tremendously fun project partner . AOOA brings with him love, patience, understanding, tolerance, fun and most notable of all, the ability to irritate. While AL also contributes by showing love, understanding and endless of laughters, she has been also known to inject a hell lot of whining, bitching, name-calling, the ability to irritate back and lately, mastering the art of washingcleaningcooking aka AOOA's maid.
This journey has been a fun one, I kid you not. Don't know about AOOA, but AL keeps learning new stuff about AOOA even up till now. Like for example, AOOA dislikes: squid, calamari, sotong (whatever you may call it), kerang in the char kuay teow, crabs (too lazy), prawns (how can one hates prawns!), raisins in his ice cream and chocolate (as opposed to AL's liking for Rum & Raisin ice cream), ppl cutting into his lane, and just yesterday, a new discovery - cold food as in cold salad.
Likes: And just when you thought you could safely sum up the fact that AOOA dislikes seafood, let me surprise you with AOOA's love for fish! Likes IKEA currypuffs, enjoys reading 'politic books' (as AL calls it) like Jeffrey Archer, political debates, underground movies like Phonebooth, Closer, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and Crash (before all the Oscar winner mumbo-jumbo, we were liking it first ok!). And may I add to the list - AOOA's great liking for girls in bikinis.
A process of learning it certainly is. I'm still very much learning and so is he. But I must say AOOA is doing a charming job. Be it, trying to cheer me up when I'm down with despair, or irritate me when I'm trying to concentrate on certain things, AOOA never fails to put a great big smile on my lips. People should learn that those lips were meant to widen and arch up and not wrinkled down like this --->
I'm glad. Truly glad to be a part of this project, this place... this moment. May this moment continues to form and create this beautiful picture of a truly memorable journey as it has been to me.
***
AOOA's ability to irritate is a honed skill. He executes it so remarkably well that each time it is hard not to love him for it. For example:
10 min into being a Sore Irritant:
AL: Stop it! AOOA: *irritate irritate irritate* AL: ^#$!#*@! AOOA: *irritate irritate irritate* AL: arrrrgggghhhhhhh! Why do you always like to irritate me!
* You must note this very classic answer.
AOOA: If I don't irritate you, then I irritate who?
(Both AL and AOOA launched into a frenzy laughing mode)

As a result of a very sleepless night, I find myself scowling at:
- road drivers
- street users
- pesky college kids pestering you to buy stuff
- my phone
- my PC
- my lunch
- my blistered right heel
- every single damn thing that dared look at and get on my way

Then, I put on the verve - bittersweet symphony and ahhhh... all is well again.
Listening to the Bittersweet Symphony The Angie's Way:
- Blast volume to the highest maximum
- Sit back. Tranquil start kicks in
- Violins begin to build up. Here, you lean back, take a deep breath and be prepared to be blown away
- At the 44th second, you succumb into a state of Euphoriaaaa ~~~ ala a Carebears-Shine!-Moment.
To retain Euphoric moment, quickly put on dave matthew's band - crash into me //sexy//

Don't stress! Don't stress! It's only a Dress!
Crap. My blog account doesn't allow me to upload pics anymore. Which also explains the lack of photos on my blog. Not that I don't want to, but my account only allows 30 images. I think I shall "migrasi" again, to blogspot this time. Oh woe.
Went for M! The Opera. DT sat with xela.naw at the press area while me sat with the ever-lovely LadyLuthien
Love:
- The wonderful backdrop. Very creative.
- The lightings.
- The costumes.
- Paula's bitchy role.
- Kerabat's costumes.
- Madam Ling-Song's very powderful voice.
- Sepi's wedding gown.
Dislike:
- The storyline. Don't quite get it.
- The translation board at the top. Quite distracting and worse still, it was inaccurate.
- The pronunciation of words by some of the casts. Not clear, thus couldn't catch the message.
Overall, it was ok lah. Choreography was good. Pictures, shot by Alex Wan, can be found here: http://www.pbase.com/alexwan/m_the_opera and http://www.pbase.com/alexwan/m_the_opera__20060325

Date: 17 Mar 2006 Event: BMW Marquee Venue: One helluva setup outside Mandarin Oriental
Celebrities spotted: - Camelia (she is so HOT! never knew she had this party girl image ) - Amber Chia - Carmen Soo - Sze Zen - Soong Ai Ling - Erra Fazira
Me and DT got there in search for JC and Julia. The organizer did a tremendously well job. Ample space to dance, chat, flirt and whatnot. And did I mention FREE drinks???? They were serving Moet and Chandon (my guess is 500ml) by the bottle somemore, can anything be better ah! Then again, am not really a champagne fan. So had my bottle and head on for mixes of wine, Screwdriver and etc.
Never experienced sooooooooo many gorgeous MEN and women under one roof. A bit culture shock for a moment Started off with a fashion and dance show. Then Jocelyn Brown took on the stage with a great vocal performance. Very danceable tracks she sang. People were soon shaking their booties.
Jules and I couldn't stop oogling at this particular male model cum dancer during the show. All angmohs but he really stood out. Great dance moves and hot bod :D JC introduced us to his fellow Cleo Eligible Bachelor of 2005. This dude told us about this which he will be performing and me and DT are planning to go for it! M! The Opera! I think it's a cute name.
Never seen JC so tipsy and 'dancey' after so long. "Welcome back!" was all I said to him :D Jules was gone. I had to go to the loo 3 times to get her out of which each time she said to me was, "I'm fineee. It's okkkk." LOL. DT had so many drinks with us and even helped himself (but of course) to more in the company of his ex-boss. Which explains why he is "Gieeeeeee, headacheeeeee" now.
One great party. Was telling JC, if the party is here to stay at that place, I'm gamed for it every Fri! Muahahahhaa.
Did I mention I broke the whole glassful of Screwdriver? Good alcohol gone to waste.
