Tuesday
A Carebear Moment

As a result of a very sleepless night, I find myself scowling at:

  • road drivers
  • street users
  • pesky college kids pestering you to buy stuff
  • my phone
  • my PC
  • my lunch
  • my blistered right heel
  • every single damn thing that dared look at and get on my way Tongue

Then, I put on the verve - bittersweet symphony and ahhhh... all is well again.

Listening to the Bittersweet Symphony The Angie's Way:

  1. Blast volume to the highest maximum
  2. Sit back. Tranquil start kicks in
  3. Violins begin to build up. Here, you lean back, take a deep breath and be prepared to be blown away
  4. At the 44th second, you succumb into a state of Euphoriaaaa ~~~ ala a Carebears-Shine!-Moment.

To retain Euphoric moment, quickly put on dave matthew's band - crash into me //sexy// Wink

Sunday
Don't stress! Don't stress! It's only a Dress!

Crap. My blog account doesn't allow me to upload pics anymore. Which also explains the lack of photos on my blog. Not that I don't want to, but my account only allows 30 images. I think I shall "migrasi" again, to blogspot this time. Oh woe.

Went for M! The Opera. DT sat with xela.naw at the press area while me sat with the ever-lovely LadyLuthien Smile

Love:

  • The wonderful backdrop. Very creative.
  • The lightings.
  • The costumes.
  • Paula's bitchy role.
  • Kerabat's costumes.
  • Madam Ling-Song's very powderful voice.
  • Sepi's wedding gown.

Dislike:

  • The storyline. Don't quite get it.
  • The translation board at the top. Quite distracting and worse still, it was inaccurate.
  • The pronunciation of words by some of the casts. Not clear, thus couldn't catch the message.

Overall, it was ok lah. Choreography was good. Pictures, shot by Alex Wan, can be found here:

Saturday
Hot Friday

Date: 17 Mar 2006
Event: BMW Marquee
Venue: One helluva setup outside Mandarin Oriental

Celebrities spotted:
- Camelia (she is so HOT! never knew she had this party girl image Wink)
- Amber Chia
- Carmen Soo
- Sze Zen
- Soong Ai Ling
- Erra Fazira

Me and DT got there in search for JC and Julia. The organizer did a tremendously well job. Ample space to dance, chat, flirt and whatnot. And did I mention FREE drinks???? They were serving Moet and Chandon (my guess is 500ml) by the bottle somemore, can anything be better ah! Tongue Then again, am not really a champagne fan. So had my bottle and head on for mixes of wine, Screwdriver and etc.

Never experienced sooooooooo many gorgeous MEN and women under one roof. A bit culture shock for a moment Tongue Started off with a fashion and dance show. Then Jocelyn Brown took on the stage with a great vocal performance. Very danceable tracks she sang. People were soon shaking their booties.

Jules and I couldn't stop oogling at this particular male model cum dancer during the show. All angmohs but he really stood out. Great dance moves and hot bod :D JC introduced us to his fellow Cleo Eligible Bachelor of 2005. This dude told us about this which he will be performing and me and DT are planning to go for it! M! The Opera! I think it's a cute name.

Never seen JC so tipsy and 'dancey' after so long. "Welcome back!" was all I said to him :D Jules was gone. I had to go to the loo 3 times to get her out of which each time she said to me was, "I'm fineee. It's okkkk." LOL. DT had so many drinks with us and even helped himself (but of course) to more in the company of his ex-boss. Which explains why he is "Gieeeeeee, headacheeeeee" now.

One great party. Was telling JC, if the party is here to stay at that place, I'm gamed for it every Fri! Muahahahhaa.

Did I mention I broke the whole glassful of Screwdriver? Good alcohol gone to waste.

Mr Arsehole decided to go on SMS-war with me last night. I had to knock my head on the wall for giving him that pleasure.

"Glad we had that chat though... it's been awhile since we were at each others throats. hahaha! brings back memories ;) you have yourself a goodnite now ya..."

SICK!!!!!!!!! After how I 'attacked' him and he could still cheekily say that. Which explains why I am feeling so sleepy now.

Piece of shit.

Ignorance is curable, stupidity is not

This SMS just came 10 min ago:

"I guess your wish or revenge came true! I broke up with emily!!! Am paying for my sins..."

Any guesses for who might have sent it?

-----

Yes, that S.O.B ex-bf of mine. I mean come on!!! Grow up!!! Why tell me? I don't want to f*cking know!

This, is I wanna say to him:

I didn't wish for anything after that incident on Christmas Eve morning that year. Dare I even wish for anything from you anymore? I must be f*cking crazy if I did. You momentarily killed my spirits, my sanity and my self. Only God knew how hard was it for me to get back up. My worst break-up ever. Ever. But I am glad I did. And for all that is worth, I truly am glad it happened.

As I stepped away from your life, I could see for the first time, what kind of a man you truly are. And just how low have I brought myself down just to make you happy. Nothing that I did was good enough for you. You drove me away and then fished me back, again and again for the whole f*cking year. So once again, I just have to say this one more time - I am truly glad it happened. Glad that I'd opened the door on that morning and saw what I needed to see.

***

Oh well, that couldn't have possibly fit in a SMS. Would be nuts to type all that on the phone. So instead, I replied:

"Let me get this straight. I did not wish for anything nor hope for a revenge after that incident. You had no idea how much that had impacted me inside. But I moved on. So, pls don't ever tell me stuff like these anymore. I don't want to know."

Feels kinda good after keeping quiet and not replying his SMSes all these while.

Oh crap, 'K' you know what? Piss off!

eigna si dog

I have another weird habit to add to the list. Have never told anyone about this except my mom when I was little. But of course, I wouldn't know that was weird back then, would I? She commented that I was nuts and "putting brain cells to waste".

It was then when I noticed I like to read short words in a reversed manner. And if it's a nicely spelt out (reversedly) word, I would read it out aloud to show that the word could also be pronounced nicely in a reversed way. For example: sun --> nus, elf --> fle. Would giggle about it if it would sound funny. Example: Back in primary years, I started the 'name terbalik' thingy where me and my friends would reversed our names to see how they would sound like.

Mine was quite cool - eigna wol kip rah. Wasn't funny so no laughs on this name. My then-bestfriend, Kelly had us burst out laughing when I mentally diligently placed the 5 alphabets backward and exclaimed "yllek!". As in, "elek" in Tamil which means 'don't have!'

Now, of lately this habit of mine has been increasingly making its presence felt. It's almost like an automatic thing for me to do. See a short word ---> Read and pronounce backwards. I even have some which, I encountered almost quite regularly and are now embedded in my memory. Such words: nike --> ekin, adidas --> sadida, avon --> nova, milo --> olim, love --> evol etc.

Remember back when we were younger, there was this brand of milk powder called Klim? Packaged in a bright yellow design. So anyway, Klim is actually milK! See! Astonished or not?! Well, I was, back then *giggles*

Then lately, with the big hooha on the latest Civic I discovered civic, when spelt reservely is also civic! How cool is that! Yea yea snigger on. Roll your eyes even. I don't care coz words like these just amazes me Tongue Also, interestingly Oprah caught on too with her famous Harpo Productions.

Was chatting with DT(divad), AW (xela naw) and Lin just now. Was just telling them that if I were to have a fashion line of my own, it'd be called - e i G n a - and ...

alex wan said:
ppl will be thinking what a cheapskate, wanna copy aigner also dunno how to spell

(and as usual, we shall all ignore 'xela naw' who is 24/7 nasty)

***

OMG. I WAS JUST BROWSING THROUGH GOOGLE TO SEE WHETHER THEY HAVE A NAME FOR THIS WEIRD HABIT AND I DISCOVERED THIS! Some interesting ones:

Mirror of Erised - In the Harry Potter books, the enchanted Mirror of Erised (desire spelled backwards) reveals the deepest desire of the person seeing himself in the mirror.

dnL - A drink from 7 Up. 7up flipped upside down (not exactly a backword, but certainly interesting).

Enola South Carolina - originally named Alone.

Erehwon - a book by Samuel Butler (nowhere spelled backwards).

Skoob Books - Bookstore in Old Town, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia <---HOW COOL IS THIS!

And lastly, "It's no accident that stressed spelled backwards is desserts"

***

Note: Just discovered my boss - Goh - as everyone calls him when reversed is 'hog.'

Monday
Let's Pause for a Moment for I Want to Gloat

Sorry people but I just have to post this up:

My mom just called to inform me that my bread (the 2nd loaf which I baked for her) has been well-received amongst her colleagues. "Everyone said it's nice. And it's still soft since yesterday."

I am so inspired to bake more breads! Love to try on cakes too but like I kept hinting telling Mr Tay, I need a baking oven Tongue See, the idea is this. Me get an oven, me bake great great wonderful cakes (the keyword is: FRESH & HOMEMADE), grow a small fanbase, then increase popularity, big enough to create a website ala this (a bit too ambitious but that's great motivation there, so it's ok), then get rich, retire from work and just bake, bake and bake away *deep breath*

I tend to get carried away sometimes Smile

P/S: She also called to inform me that my bro's gf of 2 years and still going strong, has just gotten her SPM results - 10A1s and 1A2 (atta girl!)
