Let's Pause for a Moment for I Want to Gloat

Sorry people but I just have to post this up:

My mom just called to inform me that my bread (the 2nd loaf which I baked for her) has been well-received amongst her colleagues. "Everyone said it's nice. And it's still soft since yesterday."

I am so inspired to bake more breads! Love to try on cakes too but like I kept hinting telling Mr Tay, I need a baking oven Tongue See, the idea is this. Me get an oven, me bake great great wonderful cakes (the keyword is: FRESH & HOMEMADE), grow a small fanbase, then increase popularity, big enough to create a website ala this (a bit too ambitious but that's great motivation there, so it's ok), then get rich, retire from work and just bake, bake and bake away *deep breath*

I tend to get carried away sometimes Smile

P/S: She also called to inform me that my bro's gf of 2 years and still going strong, has just gotten her SPM results - 10A1s and 1A2 (atta girl!)

Meddlesome Creatures

Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.
- "The Fellowship of the Ring", J.R.R. Tolkien

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Do not meddle in the affairs of angie.low, for she breathes new meaning to the saying, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".

Lesson Learnt: Don't Ever Piss Someone Off

Yesterday someone scolded somebody.

Somebody has never seen someone so pissed off with somebody before. Somebody dared not say further incase someone might further erupt. Like little kid signalling that she's scared in manner of hand tapping on her chest while saying, "Pa. Pa" (in mandarin) cry

But yes, it was actually somebody's fault. So somebody didn't merajuk much. Someone and somebody just sat there watching Las Vegas and kept quiet.

ANYWAYS, someone and somebody were both cool after that. During the show, somebody felt sleepy and dozed off. Then, somebody felt a finger poking somebody's ticklish waist area, asking where would somebody want to have dinner *chuckles*

Then it was all well again. Got rainbow. Got birds singing. Got Desperate Housewives Season II. Got everything beautiful and nice Big Smile

Service With a Smile

If you noticed, nowadays when you drive through a toll, there is a signboard next to the cashier saying:

(not in exact wordsla, but the gist of it is here)

Jika saya tidak:
1. Memberi salam
2. Senyum
3. Mengucapkan terima kasih

Sila ingatkan saya, etc etc.

After reading that signboard, while waiting for the cashier to give me my change, I stared at her. Tried my best to look for a tiny hint of smile or friendliness - elek (tamil word).

So ok, perhaps Ms Grouchy Poo had a bad day, afterall it was already late evening. So this morning, I tried again! Fresh new day, birds are singing, the sun is brightly shining, so cashiers at tolls must be in jolly good mood right?

I purposely gave a RM5 note at the Penchala Link toll booth so that it would take some time for her to get the change and count. Again, I read the signboard because it was just there and big.

Again, no smile, no "terima kasih" but got the "here's-your-change-now-get-the-hell-away-and-scram" look. Wtfffff....!

Actually this doesn't piss me off that much, because you need not talk to them. It is just pure money transaction thingy, you pass the $$$ and she hits the button, the poll goes up and you're off. Small talks really isn't necessary.

But what pisses me off are those salesgirls in fashion boutiques. The way they answer you are just like how Ling puts it, "Gie, you killed her mother ah? Why the face like sucking on lemon?" I swear they do! I mean come on, you're in the service line. Yes, I understand you've been standing the whole day and yes, you may have come across nasty and annoying customers BUT you do not take it out on OTHER nice customers LIKE ME.

Just puts me off real bad. Reaaaaallll bad to the extent I will boycott that particular shop just because they have stupid incompetent staff. Remembered once when I was out with Ling for shopping, that woman really gives it straight to your face. That salesgirl honestly was bad. Bad and rude. So after Ling made her purchase, she went, "Don't like to work here is it? Then don't work lah! Why show f*cked up attitude to customers? If you don't like working here, I can help you tell your boss!"

Wickkkeeeddd. But cool. Just for the record, I'm not in a foul mood or whatsoever. Still happy happy happy from yesterday. From the weekend actually *chuckles*

Sick Girl Rambles On

The weather outside is beautiful. I have a great desire to go shopping right now. And I mean, GREAT. What else can a sick girl do to cheer herself up right? New heels, new bags, new tops, new skirts, new lipsticks, etc. The heart so wants to go for it. Satiate that pounding need for retail therapy. But the mind says, "It would be very unwise my child. You are stepping on dangerous grounds here. I.e. Impulse buying."

Oh well. Looking forward to be able to walk normally sans pain and panting in order to marathon shop this weekend!

Anyway, issue with Airasia is settled. Airport tax - refunded. Airfare - nope. But is carried forward to our next trip. Within the next 3 months though. We're thinking of Koh Samui. But how do you go to Koh Samui via Airasia anyway?

LadyLuthien texted me just now giving me tips on how to survive with bread. Creative eating with bread. "Try toasting them instead of eating fresh. Add a bit of jam too if you can." Thanks Aunty Chan! Tongue Anne called me just now asking me what would I most want to eat when I have my appetite back. Come to think of it, I really dunno. Chili's burgers used to be very satisfying. Rum & Raisin ice cream used to be lip-smacking. Even tequila shots with lime used to be so much fun. Just thinking of them now just makes my tummy churn in horror!

You know I really oughta shower now. Been procrastinating it since morning. Urgh.

Sick Girl urghs

*gasp gasp gasp* *pant pant pant*

Feel like a blardy old lady man. Airasia said in order to not burn the RM650, I must get a letter from the doctor who treated me yesterday stating that I am unfit to fly. Which I did just now.

Walking to the clinic which is just downstairs and getting back was exhaustive enough. Taking the fax machine out of the box and assembling it was another uphill task. Feel so weak. And useless. And feel bad too.

Sick Girl = No Cambodia says:
i feel not only frustrated coz cannot go, but feel bad also

Sick Girl = No Cambodia says:
me so troublesome hor

d a v i d i a n i s m says:
yalor...

See, even Mr Tay said, "yalor..."

Misery Loves Company

Oh gawd. The immense silence in this house is killing me. All I hear now is the tapping of the keyboard *tak tak tak*

Thought I'd clean up Mr Tay's home up a bit but the body is weak. Can't stand up for long. I shall attempt again later.

Been sleeping a lot. Must be those pills *yawnnnn* Still no appetite. I have to struggle each time I take those pills - "3 Kali Sehari Selepas Makan". What the helllll.... 3 times of forcing myself to eat! The thought of bread makes my tummy churn. The thought of porridge/rice, let's not even go there. Then I found out that oats isn't so bad afterall. So it's oats for morning, afternoon and probably night too. This has gotta be worse than prison food.

So at Mr Tay's we ran out of oats, as I realized just now. So I am forced to down Honeystar + Milk. If you recall one of my previous entry, I have developed lactose intolerance. Which explains, why my tummy feels funny now.

More trips to the loo and after that, some telly watching.

Sick Girl = No Cambodia

Today I feel like doing a marathon-blog. What can a sick person do at home besides sleep and pop pills right? So bored that I'm thinking of posting a blog every 2 3 hours.

Thought diarrhea and vomitting were horrible enough. And wham! Fever thought it would be fun to join in as well. Darn the weakened immune system.

No more Cambodia for the weekend Sad  See little cute train up there? Just.one.more.blardy.day. Sigh. Feel so... what's the word? Frustrated.

Be back later while I go pop some really nasty pills.
