i am extremely put off by bad restaurant services.
Soho at One Utama Soho at One Utama might not be the case of bad service, but more of bad food hygiene. Sue's friend who dined in recently with her family and a whole lot of relatives were hit by severe food poisoning that left them bedridden for weeks. purging and vomitting. not 1 or 2 of them - but ALL of them. they are planning to sue Soho now.
The Banquet, Bangsar Village 2 Sue's bro and wife made reservation for 2 for dinner. they arrived, sat down and waited to be served. waited very long in fact. then, there were 2 tables that arrived later than them. guess what? the waiters went to take their orders first! and this was not the bad part yet.
Sue's bro then went to the front counter and complained to this girl manning the counter. SHE COMPLETELY IGNORED HIM! he spoke again, just incase she didn't hear him but again, and she totally ignored him while PRETENDING TO WRITE SOMETHING ON A BOOK! wtf! patrons who passed by the counter overheard him told him to, "don't waste your time. we experienced the same thing."
i wish i was there. i will definitely make her cry.
i bought somemore CDs! it's a 5-in-1 compilation album. 5 CDs to be exact. i love many many different songs and artistes in an album. it's like i hardly enjoy single artiste CDs where i will most probably only enjoy 2 or 3 songs from the album. so totally not worth buying them. UNLESS they are geniuses like Rachel Yamagata or The Beatles. so happy. it's like, i need to buy something to feel happy. women of the world will agree with me. (say, agree.) well, since i can't buy clothes till May, i decided CDs would be good replacement. ahhh... bliss~
i have again cleverly (and quietly) changed my calling name on mr tay's phone. it started of as:

so, 2 nights ago, i merely tweaked it a little and changed it to: My Girl! (with exclaimation mark)
there better isn't it? sounds better too when in the presence of his bosses, friends or colleagues coz when i call, his phone will robotically say, "My.Girl." instead of "Noisy.Girl."
so i intend to change this by default response where everybody used to go, "wah who is that, that you named as Noisy Girl?!"

seriously absolutely die. because i am forever exposed to wonderful clothes, bags and shoes from One Utama. not that i like shopping at One U, but it keeps telling me that there's this new black skirt that i need to get, this new pair of white shoes that i don't have or more bubblegum yellow panties to add to my evergrowing panty collection. (record standing at 139. last counted, few days before CNY. must get rid of old ones!)
so, March it is. have already sent Distress Call and Alert in Advance to my Shopping Partner in Crime, Ms Teoh. she laughed. not haha but hahahahahaha and promptly said "ok, how can i say no to shopping invitations??"
am very much looking forward to this very important date with Ms Teoh Sue Lin. very. you don't know how it is abstaining from shopping for a few months. it's like ripping off hair from waxing. no. actually 1 million times worse than that.

it's Saturday. my favorite day of the week. surprisingly enough, i woke up at 7.30am as opposed to my usual 11.30am during weekends. so, we got out for breakfast at a nearby coffee shop.

- economy noodles + fried egg - kopi si peng - half roti bakar (forcedfully)
he had:
- economy noodles + curry + fried beancurd - teh ais - half-boiled eggs - half roti bakar
we hardly get to do breakfast together, so with food and a copy of The Star, we're happy weekenders :)
bf didn't sleep the whole night, so now he's asleep while i type this very boring entry. will have to wake him up at 12pm for his dental appointment at 12.30pm in Uptown and i will then have 1hr 30min to kill there. which is dangerous. places like Bangsar, Uptown and Kota Damansara are now killer places for someone who is abstaining from shopping till May 2008.
but. no harm with just browsing right? i think i'll give Sue a call right now. she lives opposite Uptown :)

admittedly i got pretty mad. in a fit of anger, i banged on the poor keyboard numerous of times before remembering mr tay's advice to take 2 deep breaths (whenever i am about to do or say things i might regret later), which ended up with FIVE deep inhalations, took my wallet + hp, stepped out and met up with Chu Siang for lunch.
Pasta Zanmai. a relatively new restaurant at One Utama with a fusion twist between japanese and italian. i liked it. took me awhile to decide what to order because there were just too many choices. and for dessert, i had a green tea tiramisu, while Chu had a strawberry crepe. they even have green tea latte and green tea pudding, which i want to try next. i am digging green tea stuff lately, not quite sure why. lunch was on Chu, hehe.
and then, some guy messaged me on facebook complimenting my krabi pics. mentioned that he'll be going to krabi in march and he works in 8tv and he noticed that i worked just next door. asked me out for lunch / coffee to... 'tell me more about krabi and your trip'. signed off with his name and contact number. so weird right.
p/s: oh! oh! Chu said his gf Madeleine is also fed up with her boss and wants to open her own boutique! told him, me and her can collabo together-gether! wahaha!
p/p/s: at pasta zanmai, there was this lady sitting at next table to us. she's very powerful ya, she decides what shops get to be placed at One Utama and also she is in charge of all the Bandar Utama properties, so if there is any upcoming projects/houses, she is first to know Chu knows, coz he works in the same office as her!
we were both so worn out and tired from the past 2 days of activities that i actually had secretly hoped the guide would somehow forgot to come pick us up, and then we can complain and demand for refund. hahahahhaha.... very nasty, me.
but of course that didn't happen. the pick-up van came as sharp as 8.30am. day 4's itinerary looked pretty simple and less tiring:

i had to dip myself in carefully, little by little, as there were lots of rocks around plus, the water was pretty hot!
the trick was to actually, just soak in and within 30 secs your body sort of acclimatize to the surrounding temperature.

oooh, i underestimated the area and distance needed to be covered. i was so wrong! the journey started off really calm and easy but by the15th min, our arms were aching like crazy and at some point, the seas were getting really choppy that i really thought we would overturned!
amidst all chaos of a Drama Queen on board,"we're going to overturn and sharks will eat us and we'll all die!!!", mr tay tried his very best to stay calm and kept reminding me to, "stay near to the rocks. steer the boat towards to rocks."
