My new job is not as wonderful as some might perceived. Yes, I might be handling events, dealing with ads, ad agencies, playing around with company's money, shop online by raising carts and bonds, and other perceived wonderfulness - it's really not all that.
One of things that I've learnt in the workshop today. If any of my events screws up, be it, low attendance rate, bad feedback, went over budget, etc - red flags will show up mercilessly in the system, alerting the worldwide team and then I will have to be answerable to their probes. Such a huge responsibility lor! And and, if PO is not raised and signed, and if I still go ahead with my event, I will get the 1st strike. 3 strikes and I'm out. In other words, I have to be VERY VERY careful.
Precisely at 3.01pm today, I sent mrtay an SMS - I don't know whether I'm stupid or what. I don't understand.
A few O&M staff also sat in for the entire workshop. One of them, turned to me and said, "Whoa, your IMC role is tough mannnn."
:(
On a happier note, curly wurly is gone. I'm back being a straight. Hehe. Also, befriended Olivia, my fellow ibm midmarket counterpart from Hong Kong. She was so surprised I could speak Cantonese, you should have seen the look on her face. She had the impression that Malaysian Chinese girls can't speak the Chinese dialect. Mr Tay suggested that I bring her and her other team member out drinking tomorrow, like maybe to the AHR. Me, driving in KL, you must be kidding me. Can... if my car is equipped with GPS.
