Being a HUGE fan of Neil Gaiman's, I can't wait for his story, Stardust to be told in a movie form.
Me thinks Claire Danes as Yvaine was perfect. The cross-dressing pirate, Captain Shakespeare is played by Robert De Niro, personally I would much prefer Johnny Depp aka Captain Jack Sparrow. Love him but we'll see how De Niro carries it off. And Ian McKellen (Gandalf from LOTR) as the Narrator - brilliant. Love his warm, grandfatherly voice. Another favorite choice of mine, Morgan Freeman. Not too keen on Sienna Miller as Victoria but we'll see. And then we have Michelle Pfeiffer who is finally back taking the role as Lamia, the evil witch! I'm just so excited!
You know I have a feeling Mr Tay won't wanna watch this with me. He hates fantasy / magic / prancing fairies / dark faeries kinda movies. Hence, I didn't get to watch Pan's Labyrinth, waiting for DVD now
Stardust - Coming to cinemas near you ~
Neil Gaiman didn't quite like the tagline they are using, "Stardust. This summer a star falls. The chase begins." Neil said, "My own suggestion, "Stardust. It's not a sequel to anything," was appreciated but, probably wisely, rejected." Personally, I think I prefer the first one. Hmm.
Pinkelle May 11, 2007 01:37 PM PDT Another Neil Gaiman fan! I have to read this book next. I loved his Neverwhere but American Gods were a bit too weird for me.
mizz_angie May 11, 2007 02:10 PM PDT Yeah, Neverwhere was one of my favs too :)
Go read Stardust now, just in time to make it for the movie! Hehe...

Your Fragile Things cover is it like the one featured on my blog? I think I saw a few. Hmm.
See, the thing is I haven't been book-shopping lately, so I'm a bit outdated these days :P Didn't even know about the 2 for 3 promo till you mentioned it. You finished reading the book? How was it?
Hey maybe you, Joanne and I can come out for a drink these days ya. Thanks for stopping by my ganas blog :P
graceux5 May 13, 2007 01:22 AM PDT Yup! Same cover! But I haven't read it, though :) I have like 15 books waiting to be read...all because of my kiasuness at the recent times/mph/big bookstore warehouse sales :D
Good idea, will ask Joanne to organize since she's good at it heh heh :) I can imagine the kecohness that'll ensue.
